Abuakwa North Chairman for Seamstress Association Mr. Felix Ampong and Osiem Prez for Hairdressers Association Rev. Love Gyapomaa has shown much gratitude to their MP who double as the Deputy Minister for Education In Charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo popularly known as Hajia Kande for having the welfare of her constituents at her heart always.

They said, her good works will help her to retain the Abuakwa North Constituency parliamentary seat again coming what may on December 7,2020 general elections.
They spoke in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when their MP presented to them some fully ultra modern equipment to 10 hairdressers and 10 seamstress who have gone through the voucher training programme and successfully completed.
Later on Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH had an interview with the NPP MP and PC for the Constituency who double as the Deputy Minister for Education In Charge of TVET, Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo said, Ministry of Education and Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) have a programme called ‘Voucher’ programme of which last year 2019 I paid for 10 hairdressers and 10 seamstress to be trained on the voucher project and now they have completed.

She indicated, African Development Bank gave the Education Ministry under the COTVET equipment to support both the seamstress and hairdressers in Ghana who have completed the voucher training project.
‘I had several dialogue with them and later gave me some for my constituents who have also successfully completed the voucher training project,’ she stated.
Hon. Gifty Ampofo emphatically stressed, what’s important to me most now is’, all these 20 trained graduants will also have to train those who are willing to learn their own handiwork especially the vulnerable ones in our various societies.
“Because all this ultra modern equipment were given to them for free and their contribution is to also help and teach the youth who are ready to learn handiwork but have nobody to support them”.

Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo added, am expecting this 20 graduants to at least graduate 2 apprentice in every year to help reduce unemployment rate in Abuakwa North Constituency.
