Vera Oye Bram-Larbi, an aspiring National Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stressed the need for a unifying national youth leader to bring everyone on board and secure victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 general elections.

Entering the contest with serious intent and boldness, she aims to wrestle power back from the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in 2028.

The NPP is preparing to elect its next crop of national executives at its upcoming conference, scheduled for October 3, 2026, in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. The elected officials will steer the party’s strategic affairs until 2030.

Reflecting on the party’s political defeat in 2024, Oye Bram-Larbi attributed the loss to a fundamental failure in properly mobilizing and engaging every single eligible Ghanaian voter to keep the NPP in governance. Her current strategy focuses heavily on extensive grassroots mobilization to establish a rock-solid foundation for victory in 2028.

“To secure victory for the NPP in 2028, youth delegates must choose a leader who is vibrant, courageous, and a proven strategist,” she added.

Vera Bram-Larbi emphasized that grassroots mobilization, especially targeting floating voters, is key to making Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential vision a reality.

Standing tall among her competitors, Bram-Larbi declared herself the only candidate equipped with the qualities needed to lead NPP national youth toward a 2028 triumph.

She made these remarks in Koforidua on Tuesday, September 8, following an engagement with the youth wings from the New Juaben North, New Juaben South, Suhum, and Abuakwa North constituencies. During the meeting, she urged them to support her candidacy on October 3 to become the party’s next national youth leader.

Vera Oye Bram-Larbi also used the opportunity to appeal to NPP Youth Wings across all 276 constituencies nationwide to vote for her, emphasizing that she is ready to deliver results for the party in 2028.

Samuel Osei Sarkodie (SOS), NPP Eastern Regional Youth Organizer, stated that their party urgently needs a strategic leader capable of unifying and mobilizing the grassroots base for the 2028 general elections.

Highlighting Ghana’s democratic resilience, Sarkodie pointed out that in both the 2016 and 2024 elections, the incumbent parties respected the voice of the electorate rather than abusing state security apparatuses to alter election outcomes.

“Therefore, the National Youth Organizer of our party should be someone who can work tirelessly for the NPP to win the 2028 election overwhelmingly,” SOS stated.

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency Youth Organizers and their Deputies from the Eastern Region paid a courtesy visit to their newly elected Regional Youth Organizer, Samuel Osei Sarkodie, widely known as SOS. The gathering took place at his private residence in Asokore Kumaa, within the New Juaben North Municipality.

The historic visit served to officially congratulate SOS and present him with a citation celebrating his resounding victory in the recent regional executives’ election held in Asamankese on August 15, 2026. The election saw SOS secure 350 votes, confirming his leadership mandate through 2030.

Addressing the gathering, SOS expressed his profound gratitude to everyone who traveled from near and far to show their support.

He pledged to utilize his available resources to strengthen and empower the NPP youth wings moving forward.

Yaw Asiedu Boadu, the Abusuapanin of the Anoo Royal family in Koforidua (New Juaben South Municipal Assembly, Eastern Region), has strongly denied claims that Nana Dwomoh Brobbey, the CEO of Capital View Hotel, masterminded the recent demolition of the Anoo family house.

Abusuapanin Yaw Boadu explicitly clarified that he personally ordered the demolition, emphasizing that Nana Brobbey had absolutely no involvement in or knowledge of the operation, which took place in early September.

Meanwhile, some members of the Oyoko Royal Family in Koforidua have countered this action, asserting ownership over the demolished property and stating that the Anoo Royal Family had no legal right to tear it down.

Abusuapanin Yaw Asiedu Boadu stated that they have taken the matter to the Koforidua High Court, which has repeatedly ruled in their favor since the 1990s. Given this consistent legal backing, he questioned why the Oyoko Royal Family continues to claim ownership of the property.

He explained that the demolition aligns with the Koforidua High Court’s ruling, noting that the existing structure is ancient and poses a safety risk to its occupants. Consequently, the building is being torn down to clear the way for a modern redevelopment.

He made this known at a press conference held in Koforidua on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Abusuapanin Yaw Asiedu Boadu emphasized that he followed all proper legal channels to demolish his own family house. He added that anyone who feels aggrieved by this action is welcome to challenge his decision in court.


On his part, the CEO of Capital View Hotel and Anoo royal family member, Nana Dwomoh Brobbey, has expressed shock after being bashed online for an issue he claims to know nothing about.

He stated that the situation is a deliberate attempt by certain individuals in Koforidua to tarnish his hard-earned reputation and collapse his businesses, declaring that their efforts will fail.

“I have lived in harmony with the people of Koforidua for over five decades, and I would not engage in any activity that would cause harm to someone,” Brobbey stated.

He then advised journalists, particularly vloggers, to thoroughly cross-check their facts before publishing stories that could destroy someone’s reputation.

On Friday, September 4, 2026, I joined colleagues, friends, and party faithful at Akyem Takorase for the 40th-day observation of the late Obaapanin Afia Nyarkoa, the beloved mother of our National Women’s Organizer, Madam Kate Gyamfua.

I extended my deepest condolences to the family, praying that God strengthens them and keeps them united during this difficult time.

I concluded the day by engaging with the Polling Station and Electoral Area Executives of Moseaso, Asamang-Tamfoe, and Anyinam.

During the meeting, I officially introduced all the Appointed Executives and urged them to discharge their mandates with dedication.

Lydia Sarah Ohenewaa, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Suhum Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, has extended vital support to 650 graduates who recently sat for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

This initiative is designed to help them transition smoothly into Senior High School (SHS) by providing essential prospectus supplies.

The relief packages distributed to the students included Trunks, student mattresses, rubber buckets, and exercise books.

In addition to these provisions, the best-performing students who achieved single-grade aggregates were recognized with special awards. These stellar students received hampers and cash prizes ranging between GH₵800.00 and GH₵1,000.00 to celebrate and honor their hard work.

This educational intervention by the MCE aims to significantly uplift academic standards across the Suhum Municipality. By easing the financial burden on parents, the initiative ensures that brilliant yet underprivileged students are not denied the opportunity to advance to secondary education due to financial constraints.

Speaking at the event held at the Suhum main lorry station on Saturday, September 5, Lydia Ohenewaa announced that she has expanded her student support initiative.

While she initially planned to assist 500 students, she increased the number to 650 following heartfelt appeals from some parents in the surrounding villages.

To ensure long-term impact, she has signed a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SOL Foundation. This partnership guarantees ongoing educational support over the next decade to give every child in the area access to second-cycle education.

This year’s initiative marks a significant increase from last year, when 350 students received support. Sarah Ohenewaa reiterated that these efforts align with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s core commitment to making quality education accessible and attractive to every Ghanaian child.

“Some parents of the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MCE and SOL Foundation for their kind gesture.

According to them, the gesture came at the right time because they were thinking about how to get their wards, the prospectuses, to go to school, stressing these move will reduce some burden of them.”

The Suhumhene, Osabarima Ayeh Kofi Opare, has commended Lydia Sarah Ohenewaa for launching a beneficial initiative tailored for parents in Suhum. He noted that this year’s program far exceeded his expectations.

The National Association of Education Administrative and Secretarial Staff (NAEASS) hosted its 2026 Eastern Regional Conference workshop in Koforidua on Thursday, September 3.

The primary objective of the conference was to urge the government to recruit additional administrative and secretarial personnel for the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Speaking to Kontihen Kofi Oboh, the Eastern Regional Chairman of NAEASS, Samuel Rainer Donkor highlighted a critical gap in the sector.

He noted that while retiring employees in other sectors are routinely replaced, the GES consistently fails to fill vacancies left by departing administrative and secretarial staff.

Donkor stated that this ongoing neglect has severely increased the workload on existing staff, describing the current situation as deeply unacceptable.

He made a humble appeal to the government to include them in upcoming recruitment plans for various institutions, ensuring they are fully equipped to discharge their duties.


Addressing the conference members on behalf of Dr. Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu, the Eastern Regional Director of Education, the New Juaben North Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Hilda Amegatcher, noted that the demands placed on administrators and secretarial staff have grown increasingly complex in this digital age.

“Stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and students, expect greater efficiency and transparency,” she mentioned.

He stated that the people of Ghana, particularly the youth, are deeply unhappy with the current state of the nation and are determined to see a change in the 2028 elections.

Commander SOS emphasized that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, led by President John Dramani Mahama, has woefully failed the country and will be voted out of office in 2028.

However, he reassured citizens that hope remains, asserting that Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP Flagbearer, will step in to rescue Ghanaians from their suffering in 2028.

Samuel Osei Sarkodie (SOS) shared these updates while addressing party members and supporters at the Thanksgiving mega health walk in Nkawkaw, organized by the newly elected regional executives.

It was Saturday morning. Mrs. Kuma called Dede and said, “Let’s go to the beach. We’re going to buy some fish. Take the small basket.”

Dede took the basket.

Mrs. Kuma and Dede walked to the beach. They met two women. They were coming from the beach. They were carrying big basins. There were fish in the basins.

Dede and her mother went to the beach. There were a lot of people. There were men, women, boys and girls. Some people were selling things and others were buying them. Many children were playing. They were running here and there. Some were playing in the sand. Others were swimming in the sea.

Some fishermen were pulling in their nets. Some were washing their nets. Others were selling their fish to some women.

Dede and her mother went to one fisherman. Dede’s mother said, “Please, how much is your fish?”

“One for three cedis, but give me ten cedis for four,” said the fisherman.

Dede looked at her mother’s face and said, “It’s good. Buy it, Mummy.”

“Very well. I’m going to buy it,” said Mrs. Kuma.

Safo’s school is about one hundred metres from his house. It is the tenth house from the school. Every afternoon, Safo and his friends walk home from school.

Adamu is Safo’s friend. Adamu has a bicycle. He rides to school and rides back home after school. His house is about two hundred metres from the school. The school is in Tamale.

Safo and two of his friends were walking home one afternoon. Adamu passed them on his bicycle. He looked back, waved and shouted, “Bye!”

His bicycle hit a sheep. He fell off the bicycle and hurt his left leg. He hurt his left arm too.

Safo and his friends ran to Adamu. They carried him to the side of the road. A man saw them and took Adamu in his car. They took Adamu to his father’s house.

Adamu’s mother cleaned his wounds. There was no medicine in the house. And there was no bandage! So she took him to the hospital.

There were nurses at the hospital. One of them looked at Adamu’s wounds. She cleaned them again. She put some medicine on the wounds and bandaged them. Adamu’s mother thanked the nurse and took her son home.

Apostle Dr. Samuel Kofi Dadzie, the General Overseer of the Leaders’ Light International Church, has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for enacting the Community Service Act, 2026.

This landmark legislation introduces non-custodial sentences as a rehabilitation alternative to imprisonment for minor, non-violent offenses.

The legal reform is designed to address severe prison overcrowding and significantly reduce state correctional expenditures. Under the new framework, offenders will complete 4 to 8 hours of community service daily for up to six months. The program will operate under a structured supervisory framework managed by the Ministry of the Interior.

According to him, the move is long overdue since he has been advocating for it for years.

He argued that the government should not continue spending state funds on these individuals in prison when those resources could be redirected toward developmental projects that benefit the nation.

Apostle Dr. Kofi Dadzie shared these thoughts at the Akim Oda branch of the church in the Eastern Region during a celebration honoring him as the church’s founder on his 51st birthday anniversary on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

He also urged the government to create more job opportunities for young people. Providing them with employment, he noted, would keep them engaged and prevent them from turning to petty crime within their communities.


Speaking at the event, Apostle Dominic Agyekum Boakye, the Vice President of the Church, emphasized the importance of honoring leaders. He remarked that respecting national authorities brings blessings, adding that celebrating Apostle Dr. Dadzie as the founder of the church is a meaningful way to appreciate his strong leadership qualities.

During the event, Apostle Agyekum Boakye urged Ghanaian youth to desist from using social media platforms to insult the elderly.

He stated that such actions lead to a miserable life, adding that young people who engage in this behavior would fail to experience the glory of God
