Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region on the ticket on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institutions, Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo, has filed her nomination forms at the EC’s office in New Tafo to contest the upcoming December 7,2020 polls.
Millions of the party members and friends of Hon Gifty Twum in the constituency joined her as she filed the forms. “I’m very much grateful to everybody who made it to my filing”.
Addressing the crowd, Hon. Gifty Twum said, “we are done with both the primaries and voters’ registration exercise. What am saying is that, if someone has wronged you one way or the other we should just forgive the person and let it go”.
“It is time we all have to forgo our differences and come together as one family and to support the NPP to retain in power coming 2021” she prayed.
“Now that I have filed my nomination forms at the EC’s office, we need everybody on board to work extra harder because we need 4 more terms to do more to developed Ghana” she told.
Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo added, “when you gave me 4yrs in Parliament, Prez Nana Addo appointed me as the Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, I increased the Livelihood Against Poverty (LEAP) in the Abuakwa North from 6 beneficiaries to 261 beneficiaries”
“Again when Prez Akufo-Addo changed my position and appointed me as the Deputy Education Minister and I have done so many things for my constituents”
“You will benefit a lot of developmental projects from us if you give us another mandate to govern Ghana “she assures
