The Chairman for Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Douglas Asare has disclosed in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that, all the 3 parliamentary candidate aspirants who contested the incumbent MP in their primaries and unfortunately they were defeated by Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo are all contributing their quota for her to ensure she retained the seat again for the party.
“If you have love for the party you don’t throw out even when you lost a position and you don’t turn your back on them when they need you the most, Rather you have to throw your full support for the winner by working hand in hand with him to ensure that you all retain that particular parliamentary seat together” he advised
“By doing so, when you also one day become the PC for the constituency the defeated ones will also come and give you the morale support and this is what my people are doing for Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo in the Abuakwa North Constituency who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training” he continued.
Chairman Douglas Asare said, “Mr. Lawyer Kay Amoah has donated T-shirts and one vehicle to support the campaign. Mr. Kofi Obeng have given us water and hand sanitizers and its all helping but as for Mrs. Serwaa Acheampong because of her work she don’t get time to come but she always call and ask how is the campaign going. This means they understand themselves and have shown maturity”
Chairman Asare continue that, many MP’s have pass through his hand but Hon. Gifty Twum’s works is unprecedented. She and Prez Akufo-Addo deserve and another mandate to continue their good works for Ghana.
Chairman Douglas Asare further stated, the Abuakwa North NPP executives are working tirelessly to support their Hon. MP who doubles as the PC for the constituency to win the parliamentary seat ones again coming off December 7, polls.
“We have targeted over 70% vote for both Parliamentary and Presidential in Abuakwa North constituency. God is on our side I hope that victory would be ours” he added.
“The door to door campaign is helping us in so many ways so far as this year’s elections is concern. Those days you have to mount a campaign platform to go and convey the party members from their various respected electoral areas to come and crowded at one place for the campaign and is very costing” Chairman Asare continue.
“But this time around, we go to them and talk to them one on one to listen to their major challenges they are facing. I think this is helping us to know the problems of the constituents better than before so that when we come to power again we will address to their challenges” he explained.
