Leader of the Full Life Assemblies of God, Ghana in Trom in the New Juaben South Municipality of Eastern Region, Rev. Gilbert Nyarko has expressed worry over the second wave of the coronavirus, a situation he described as “very terrible one”.
According to the Man of God, the deadly pandemic does not knows any humanity irrespective of one’s religion, class, position, qualification nor wealth. Noting that, ‘MPs, ‘Speaker of Parliament’, and President of the state’ are all entitled to contract the disease should they refute to adhere to the directive protocols.
This, he indicated that since the disease has become dangerous everyone has to be adherence to the covid protocols laid down by Prez Akufo-Addo, Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service.
“I and my church members follow all these covid protocols by Prez because Bible says we should give respect to whom the respect is due” he stated.
“One thing I have realized is that,’ of late “many people don’t give respect to our leaders” and that’s what is killing us.This he said, as a citizens of this country if we really do respect our leaders, we will abide by their words to curb the spread of coronavirus disease” noted Rev. Nyarko.
“I will urge all my fellow colleagues men of God that anytime we get the opportunity to speak with our church members we should let them know that covid is real. So they should strictly follow the covid protocols especially wearing of the face mask whenever they go out” he told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH.
He later-on made a passionate appeal to Prez Nana Addo to shutdown lower primary schools as well as the Kindergartens.
Again he chastised that, since parents may argue of paying school fees during this pandemic era, he suggests, there should be measures laid in proper place to ensure that when the covid cases declined, parents won’t pay any terminal fees.
Rev. Gilbert Nyarko then underscore how difficult it has become for these little kids complying with the covid protocols even though their teachers are doing their possible best to curtail the spread of the pandemic. However, he noted further with vice versa to the upper primary pupils.
