
The Eastern Regional Minister Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong has said, the 30 days prayer and fasting by the Muslims has helped reduced Ghana’s cases of Covid-19.
According to the Minister, had it not been the prayers of our Muslims the second wave of the global coronavirus pandemic disease that hit the country would have gotten out of the hands, adding that this period of Ramadan have been a blessing in disguise.
Hon. Seth Acheampong continue, by urging Ghanaians to have in mind that the covid is still staying with us, hence everyone must observe all the protocols.
Hon. Reg. Min made these known at Koforidua Zongo during the prayers by the Muslims as they brought their 30 days prayers and fasting to an end.
Furthermore, the Eastern Regional Chief Imam Yussif Amudani Suleman said, they thank God ( Allah) for a successful fasting and prayer for how far he has brought them.
“Because they began this 30 days fasting and prayers with a lot of people but today some of them has kicked the bucket”. he added.
Chief Imam Amudani Suleman prayed for Nana Addo, his Veep Dr. Bawumia, his Ministers including MPs, and asked unto them God’s protection and guidance.
The Eastern Regional Deputy Nasara Coordinator for NPP, Adamu Musah Raha also advised Muslim youth in the region to understand that the country is not in good times.

“So I’m urging them to desist from things that goes against the covid protocols”.
Adding, nobody should ride motorbikes to make noise in town amidst celebrating this holy Eid-Ul-Fitr Ramadan festival.
