Fanteakwa South: Chief Praises Pres Akufo Addo, DCE For Their Commitment To Education

The Ankobeahene of Akyem Hemang in the Fanteakwa South District of Eastern Region, Nana Kobea Addobɛ has hailed H.E. Pres Nana Addo and his indefatigable DCE for Fanteakwa South District Assembly, Hon. Kwasi Adjabeng Ntori for their commitment to education in the country.

Their archaic clay Presbyterian Primary School building that has been there for over decades was demolished by the Assembly and built a new 6 Unit Classroom Block for them.

According to the Ankobeahene of Akyem Hemang, even though he had his Education from the same school, none of the previous governments and DCEs attended to their aid for infrastructural wise.

“We are most grateful to Pres Nana Addo and his DCE for their good works done for making sure that every Ghanaian child have access to quality education in the country”.

Nana Addobɛ then entreated teachers of the school to put in their possible best by teaching the students well since the District want learners to perform better in both their BECE and WASSCE respectively to bring the good name of Akyem Hemang into a better reputation.

“Gone are the days, our major work we used to do here was cocoa farming but today the galamseyers have destroyed all our cocoa farms and only property we can give to our kids is education”.

Moreover, Nana Kobea Addob3, urged the school children to take their studies very serious instead of watching Television at night.

He mentioned these during the commissioning of a 6 units classroom block for Akyem Hemang Presbyterian primary school.

The District Coordinating Director of the Assembly who speaks on behalf of the Hon. DCE. Kwasi Ntori, Mr. John Paddy thanked GetFund for their continuous support for the District Assembly.

He recounted, how the DCE lobbied for 3 additional projects including the one been commissioned today making it 4 in total. The other 3 are; Osino D/A primary school, Nsutem Presbyterian primary school, and Pimpimso primary school which unfortunately the Pimpimso contractor didn’t lead up to expectation.

Mr. John Paddy added, they will continue to thank the DCE for his good works for the District, indicating he has done a lot of works in the areas such as; roads, health, water and sanitation,market and etc.

“This project we are commissioning today, it is our cherish hope that the school will train our children in order to become responsible, God fearing, law abiding and respectful”.

“Again we want to entreat the teachers to take good care of the students and equipped them with knowledge, attitude, skills and values that will make them useful to themselves and to the society they find themselves”.

Mr. Paddy ceased the opportunity and charged the community to pay their taxes especially their property rate so that the Assembly can generate resources to enable initiate more projects in the District.
