Assist The Police With Accurate Information To Fight Crime….Ghanaians Urged

The Municipal Police Commander for New Juaben South Municipality who doubles as the Acting Eastern Regional Operational Commander, Chief Superintendent Raymond Kofi Erzuah has asked the general public to feed them with accurate information that will help them to fight against the ongoing criminalities in the Region and the entire country at large.

According to him, security is a shared responsibility of every good citizen.

Chief Supt. Kofi Erzuah then quizzed that, those armed robbers and criminals who are killing and robbing people leaves in our misdt which they’re all known in various Communities.

“If you have information about such persons and refused to give to the police to arrest them, who knows tomorrow it will be your turn to be attacked, killed or robbed”

“We beg of Ghanaians that anytime they sees something going on in our various vicinities and we are not comfortable with it we shouldn’t hesitate to go to the nearest police station to either informed the Crime Officer, District Commander, Divisional Commander or Regional Commander to quickly acted upon the information given to help the police to fight against those bad people in our areas” he opined.

He therefore commended the residents of Atiwa West District for the good work done by arresting and handing over the suspected National Security personnels who were mining in one of the Atiwa forest reserves to the police. Adding that, this is what we must all emulate to help moving the country forward.

Chief Supt. Raymond Kofi Erzuah told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH in an interview, and urged all to be citizens and not spectators by working together with the Ghana Police Service to help combat against the crimes in the country, because police alone can’t do it all.

He continue by admonishing individuals to give accurate informations to their Assembly Members or Unit C’ttee Chairmen that could be confidential.

Moreover, he added that should they had no trust before the aforementioned personnels, they should contact Eastern Regional Police Information Room Emergency Lines on 0299202944/ 0299206464 to report to them directly.

“If you know you don’t have any information for the police please don’t call the numbers because we mean business” he warned

Chief Supt. Raymond Erzuah added, they are going to arrest those drivers who parked their vehicles on the shoulders of the roads in the region and indicated that their aim is to prevent the unnecessary road accidents on our roads.

“This country can only enjoys its peace if the citizens are able to feed the Ghana Police Service with the necessary information to overcome the crime rate situation in our various communities” he stated.
