
Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo popularly called Hajia Kande, member of parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency also the deputy minister of education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) has stated that, technical and vocational education and training is now very attractive under the able leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo.
The honourable member of parliament mentioned that, the TVET transformation agenda the Nana Akufo-Addo led government introduced, has seen massive development in the areas of infrastructure and equipment.
Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo further admonished parents not to discourage their wards who want to pursue TVET but rather, encourage them to make the dreams of government of making Ghana an industrial hub in the sub region a reality.
Hajia Kande added that, under the TVET Voucher project, master crafts men, artisans, seamstress and beauticians have been offered competence based training in TVET institutions across the country as well as their apprentices funded by government for socio-economic development of the country.

“Ghana government through Nana Akufo-Addo has spent so much to revamp Technical and Vocational Education and Training with state of the arts equipment and infrastructure which is going a long way to boost Ghana’s industrialisation.
We must all embrace it and support our wards who are willing to be technically or vocationally trained to access it for Ghana government’s industrial drive agenda”. Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo.
She made this statement on the 19th August,2021, when she visited St. Paul’s Technical School, Akyem Kukurantumi in the Abuakwa North Constituency of Ghana,
with the parliamentary select committee on education, chaired by Hon Kwabena Amakwah Asiamah, MP for Fanteakwa North Constituency, as part of the nationwide tour to inspect infrastructure and equipment in TVET institutions.

Hon Kwabena Amakwah Asiamah, expressed satisfaction to the transformation Technical and Vocational Education and Training has received under the current NPP government as they toured the TVET institutions and encouraged Ghanaians to support it for socio-economic development of Ghana.
He noticed that, access roads to some of the TVET institutions are poor and will trumpet it for quick solutions from government.
