New Juaben South: Assembly Members Accepted The Prez Nominee By 98% Votes

Hon. Ike Apaw Gyasi, MCE-New Juaben South Municipal Assembly.

The Hon. Assembly Members of New Juaben South Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region has heavily endorsed Prez Akufo-Addo’s nominee, Isaac Apaw Gyasi to confirmed his approval as the Municipal Chief Executive for the area.

Out of 49 assembly members expected to cast their vote in respect to the confirmation of the 2nd coming the latter, 46 casted yes with 1 going for no which represent 98%.

Attaining the mandatory two-thirds of the votes of the membership of the entire Assembly, in accordance with the Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution, Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong sworn in the MCE into office to commenced his work.

The MCE, after his confirmation expressed his heartfelt gratitude to H. E. Prez Nana Addo for the confidence reposed in him by renominating him to continue his good works for the Municipality.

Mr. Apaw Gyasi, believes the journey may not be smoothly but togetherness among the hardworking assembly members will help transform and develope the area.

He also assured the Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong that, his second coming as MCE is going to be a term of developmental projects.

However, Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency who doubles as the Deputy Trade Minister, Michael Okyere Kofi Baafi commended members of the assembly for approving the President’s nominee in an encouraging means

He then tasked them to see themselves as one people with a common destiny, and fight for projects to be enable them withness the Koforidua they all love and cherished to see one day.
