The Parent Teacher Association of New Juaben Senior High School (NJUASCO) in the New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region, has presented 20 beds to their newly built girls dormitory.
According to Dr. Ebenezer Nii Armah, the chairman for the association disclosed that, their move was aimed to support the government building a new dormitory for the girls.
“So as a chairman, I spoke with my members to see what we can also do to support the gov’t. That’s why we came up by presenting these beds to the school to help relief some burden from the gov’t” he told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH.

Dr. Nii Armah further stated that, amidst raising an initial one or two storey building, the project was not attended to for sometime now a situation that resulted to leakages on the walls, leaving students stranded whenever it rains.
“We will plead with the Eastern Regional Education Directorate or the MCE of New Juaben South Assembly Mr. Isaac Appau Gyasi to come to our aid and help us to flow the top so that our children will have a good sleep when it rains”.
Receiving the beds, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Mark Ofori Frimpong thanked the PTA Chairman and his members for the beautiful thing they have done for the girls.

He stated that, gov’t haven’t said parents shouldn’t contribute to the school’s development but it differs from those days whereby parents who refused to pay their PTA dues of their children are sacked.
He urge parents not to run from their responsibilities, rather they should do well to pay their PTA dues so that the association can used it to run the affairs of the schools because gov’t have a lot of work to do and can’t do everything for the children despite the Free SHS.
