Asuogyaman District: Chief Lauds Akufo-Addo Over Hospital Project

The Amankrado of Akwamu Adonteng Traditional Area, in the Eastern Region, Nana Akwei Deddey has commended Prez Akufo-Addo for giving them a health center as part of the Agenda 111 projects.

This, he said they are lucky to get their share out of the 88 hospitals which meant a lot to them, because the absence of hospital in the District was worrying since patients are taken to Akosombo or Peki for medical treatment.

Nana Akwei Deddey made these remarks Kingdom FM/TV’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH during a sod cutting ceremony of the commencement of a 60 bed capacity District Hospital at Apeguso in the Asuogyaman.

He then urged parents to encouraged their children to offer courses in hospital administration or Align Scientists because the facility will create job opportunities for those who read those programs.

Moreover, the District Chief Executive of the District, Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum said, Prez Nana Addo made it clear that he is not coming to deceive Ghanaians thus, he is gradually fulfilling almost all his promises prior to the 2016 election.

Mr. Kwasi Agyekum emphatically stressed that, the fact that the hospital is being situated at Apeguso doesn’t mean only the people will enjoy the employment benefit but to all the 3 paramountcy comprises of Boso, Anum ,and Akwamu Traditional Area.

Mr. DCE described the project as ‘ a dream come true’. Stating that, the 60 capacity beds project is expected to be completed within 12months.

Meanwhile, the Project Consultant, Mr. Charles Blankson noted that, the ultra modern District Hospital is entreated under the care of 3 companies which include Golden Mainland, Dimola and Amocha Construction Company Ltd.

Mr. Blankson adds, they will employ more workers from the localities and assured of delivering a quality work for the good people of Asuogyaman.
