The Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Alhaji Umar Babs Kofi Bodinga has donated 100 bags of cement to support the completion of the abandoned Eastern Regional Islamic educational Secretariat unit’s two storey building office in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly.
Speaking to Kingdom News, the Abuakwa North MCE said, two weeks ago, the delegation from the regional Islamic educational secretariat paid him a courtesy visit in his office asking him to help them with building materials to be used to complete their Secretariat because it’s deteriorating.
Alhaji Umar Bodinga adds, after their visit, their plea touches his heart and saw the need to support them with the 100 bags of cements and stated that the education of Ghanaian children is very paramount to him, hence his support.

The MCE told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that, he will continue to support the secretariat till its completion.
He noted that, the facility when completed, will help the executives council members of the secretariat to discharge their duties accordingly.

Furthermore, the Council Chairman for Eastern Regional Islamic Educational Secretariat, Kasem Tijani Rahman told KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that, they started the project in 2010 but it got to a point they couldn’t continue due to the lack of funds to complete it.
On behalf of the regional Islamic Educational secretarial council, thanked the MCE for his kind gesture and called on the general public to come to their aid, because they need sand, iron rods, gravels etc to complete the project.
