E/R: Saviour Church Of Ghana Donates Food Items To Koforidua Prison Service

The Savior Church of Ghana in Osiem in the Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region has donated foodstuffs worth about GHC20,000 to Koforidua local Prison Service.

The Presbyter for the Church, Jacob Asirifi explained that, they received a letter from the Koforidua Prison Service asking them for support because there is a lot of challenges confronting them.

According to the Koforidua Prisons, every inmate spend GH₵1.80ps daily, and is not enough for them, hence their appeal to the Church for the support.

“As a result, the General Superintendent of the Church, Opanin Abraham Kwaku Adusei and the Church saw the need to show them love,” he noted.

The food items includes, Plantain,Maize, rice and an amount of GH₵1,000.00

Jacob Asirifi said, the Church would keep on supporting them when the need arise because giving back to the society is a blessing.

Some of the attendees were Enock Ofori ,the General Sectary, Isacc Asirifi Darko , National Vice Chairman, and Atta Kofi the member of the Church.

Receiving the items on behalf of the inmates was the officer-in-charge of the facility, Deputy Director of Prison, Christopher Hayibor, thanked Opayin Abraham Adusei and the Saviour Church of Ghana for their kind gesture, saying, the donation has come at the right time because it will go a long way to help improve the food situation in the prison.

He then ceased the opportunity and called on the other Churches to emulate the Saviour Church of Ghana-Osiem.
