Addressing the graduands and the dignitaries, the Principal for Presbyterian Women’s College of Education-Aburi, Cynthia Anim (Mrs.) expressed her displeasure about how the various Universities in Ghana especially, the University of Education-Winneba are taking away their faculty tutors because their services of conditions are far better than theirs.

She adds, after the traditional Universities have swallowed their faculty tutors or members they find it difficult to get financial clearance to replace them and is one of the major challenges confronting the colleges of education in the country, something she said must be look at.

Cynthia Anim said, the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education-Aburi is in dire need of a bus for supporting teaching and college activities as well as projectors to enhance classroom teaching and learning.

She also appealed to the stakeholders, individuals, philanthropist and NGOs to come to their aid, saying, most part of their wall has developed cracks and unfortunately on July 4, 2022, the part of it collapsed and needed some immediate reconstruction for the safety of students and staff.

Furthermore, the best graduating student, Stephanie Claudia Kotey in her valedictory speech urged her colleagues to continue to push themselves to set new goals and keep doing their best.

“So let us go forth and shine with collaboration, passion, courage, and conviction and make our marks wherever we are going to serve mother Ghana”, she added.

For his part, the guest speaker for the 14th congregation ceremony of PWCE, Aburi, Professor Eric Anane advice the graduates to dedicate themselves to the teaching work, because it is only when ‘you enjoying what you do that you can do it better and he is not ashamed of being a teacher.’

Prof. Eric Anane added, we are in the knowledge regime or industrialization, therefore the use of Information Technology Communication has become eminent and very important in the teaching field, so the graduated students should take it serious and go learn to add it to their teaching skills as they are going to the world.
