Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Gifty Twum Ampofo has indicated that education as a tool have strengthened the relationship between Muslims and the Christians community.
She cited unity and togetherness amidst love which has seen Ghana enjoying the coexisting peaceful environment in the country.

According to the minister, it is only through Education one gets to know and understands the nitty-gritty of humanity especially when it comes to what one like and dislikes.
“But in Ghana here, Christians are attending Muslims Schools whiles Muslims are also doing same and they don’t have any difficulty of learning together, and we will be able to coexist properly when we take Education very seriously,” Mrs. Ampofo underscores.

Making reference to Ghana’s neighboring country, the Lawmaker who represents Abuakwa North in parliament said most of these countries along Ghana’s borders are leaving on segregation because they lack unity, togetherness, and peace.
Gifty Twum Ampofo made the remarks on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Koforidua Technical University during the 2023 Eastern Regional NASARA IFTAR, Ramadan Fast organized by the NPP’s Nasara Coordinator, Alhaji Hussain Fadiulu Fafana. It was held on the theme; ‘A season of Spiritual Reflection and Prayer for Victory in 2024.’

Nasara Coordinator for the NPP, Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa on his part commends the ruling party for its contribution towards the unity among Christians and Muslims community in the country.
According to him, the NPP’s track record is enviable since it is the only political party to have its sitting president to be a Christian but went ahead to build a National Mosque for the Muslims community.

‘Today, Ghana leaves in peace and harmony because Muslims and Christians understand each other, reasons, Christians are invited by Muslims to join them to celebrate its salah feast since both religion sees themselves as one people,’ Aziz Haruna Futa stressed.

Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong who chaired the program entreated Muslims to pray on the message ‘IT IS POSSIBLE’ for the NPP to break the 8 as they close on bringing their Holy Ramadan Fast celebration to an end.
He added that apart from the NPP there is no political party in Ghana who repeatedly makes the Christian and Islamic religion a true dominant choice of their candidature whenever there is an opportunity within the party to contest for any enviable position.
