Agyapomaa Community Gets Mechanized Borehole Water

Staff at the Kyebi Government Hospital in the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region have donated mechanized borehole water worth over GH¢40.000.00 to the Agyapomaa community in the area.

According to them, the gesture formed part of their social corporate responsibilities to give back to the communities in which they serve because without them they wouldn’t have been there working.

Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH after officially handing over the project to the Agyapomaa Community, the Medical Superintendent of the Kyebi Government Hospital, Dr. Richard Nii Darku Doodo said they were moved by the saying that water gives life therefore it befit everyone to be privileged with good drinking water.

To ensure that the project was executed successfully, he added that each staff paid GH¢50.00 and more.

He noted that after mobilizing the resources, various committees were set up and were tasked to identify problems facing the communities in the catchment area, leading to their realization that the beneficial community was in dire need of potable water for their daily activities, hence providing them the mechanized borehole water.

Dr. Nii Doodo called on Ghanaians to emulate them and support various communities that need help because the Government alone cannot do everything for its citizens.

The Health Director for Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly, Rhodalyn Adda Kyei-Yamoah commended the Kyebi Government Hospital staff for their kind gesture to the Agyapomaa Community.

“I believe the beautiful things they have done will unite them and bring impact to others,” she told KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH.

For his part, the Mankrado of Agyapomaa, Nana Ampem Darko III on behalf of his people showed his heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Kyebi Government Hospital for thinking about the health of the people and also assured them of making good use of the facility.
