The Ada College of Education in the Greater Accra Region has held its 17th edition of the 2024 Africa Success Summit to equip the students on how to create job opportunities for themselves and become business tycoons and entrepreneurs in the future.
Doing so would help address the unemployment rate challenges confronting the country in the sense that when these teacher trainees graduate from school they won’t be overreliant on the government for posting to their various schools.
However, they can apply the knowledge acquired to set up small businesses for themselves and employ others who don’t have jobs and with this, the unemployment issues will be thine of the past.

The Ada College of Education collaborated with the LEC Group to embark on such a journey where more than 1,000 students participated in the event.
Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, the Principal of the College, Professor Prince Boateng said, it is very essential for students to add value to their academic careers to better their life.
Prof Boateng indicated that organizing such programs on campuses for tertiary students, especially the teacher trainees opened their eyes to realize their dreams and start creating their businesses so that when they complete school they won’t become burdens to their parents.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer for LEC Group, Albert Prempeh Kusi stated, that they commenced this program in 2008 at the University of Cape Coast in the Central Region, and over 200,000 students have benefited from it where they own their companies and have managed to hire others.

“We saw the need to come to the Ada College of Education to train the teacher trainees to let them know that they can add value to their lives aside from teaching jobs to enhance their standard of living conditions”, he told KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH.
Albert Kusi used the medium and appealed to the general public to come to their aid by supporting them financially to be able to organize such programs for the youth in the various tertiary institutions across the country to shape their life and become entrepreneurs after school.
Some students who joined the program thanked the leadership of the school led by Professor Prince Boateng for coming up with such a mind-blowing program to enlighten them on how to create job opportunities for themselves and become successful in life aside from their teaching profession.
According to them, they have learned a lot of things from all the resource personnel who spoke at the program, and they are going to work towards them one after the other whilst they are in school.
