Gyan Foundation Donates Wheelchairs To Persons With Disabilities

The Gyan Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization has donated wheelchairs to support persons with disabilities in Koforidua in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region.

The Foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This initiative will not only enhance mobility but also promote independence, dignity, and inclusion for persons with disabilities.

The impact of such a donation goes beyond just providing a physical device, it also brings hope, joy, and a sense of belonging to those who often face accessibility challenges.

Speaking to the cross-section of the media after the donation, the Chief Executive Officer for Gyan Foundation, Emmanuel Kwame Gyan, noted that, the foundation aims to improve the lives of vulnerable groups, including individuals with disabilities.

Kwame Gyan mentioned that the donation of the wheelchairs is a thoughtful gesture that will enhance the mobility and independence of persons with disabilities, enabling them to navigate their surroundings with greater ease and confidence, adding that this act of kindness demonstrates the foundation’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting those in need.

He made a remarkable commitment to support individuals with disabilities and promised to provide “one disabled person to one wheelchair” which is a heartfelt gesture that will significantly improve the lives of many.

He stressed that over the past month, the foundation has made significant progress in donating wheelchairs to support persons with disabilities in Accra, Adabraka Rehabilitation Centres, and Nifa Senior High School.

He is of the view that, It’s also heartwarming to hear that, the individuals they serve also give back to their communities, which goes a long way in demonstrating the power of generosity and compassion.

He therefore appealed to corporate bodies, industries, institutions, government, and well-meaning Ghanaians to understand their concepts and emulate them.

Seth Owusu Kumi, the Coordinator of the disabled team received the wheelchairs and expressed gratitude to the Gyan Foundation for their remarkable generosity and compassion by donating many wheelchairs to support persons with disabilities, adding that his philanthropic efforts are truly commendable.

Furthermore, Christian Koshi Serho, a beneficiary of the wheelchairs, noted that it is a wonderful moment in their lives and It’s great to see that the efforts of the Gyan Foundation are being recognized and appreciated by the people they are helping.

He uses the opportunity to remind other NGOs philanthropists, Companies, industries, and government institutions among others to emulate the work of the Gyan Foundation because is vital and valued.
