It was all joy with an electrifying atmosphere as the streets of Akooko and Asafo, dominated by the traditional NPP’s Red, White, and Blue colors, occasioned a mega health walk with Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, the Parliamentary Candidate for Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region.
The exercise, which pulled hundreds of crowds predominantly by faithful of the ruling New Patriotic Party, was to energize the fans ahead of the DECEMBER 7 polls.
Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, the MP hopeful said among all other factors, the need to energize the party’s fan base in the area was key to enabling them to preach the good work done to the people and also to maintain them to do more for Ghanaians.

He noted members of the ruling party must be proud of its achievements because they have proven doubters wrong, especially the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, when the NPP made a promise to implement the Free SHS policy in 2016, the NDC opposed it strongly and described it as unrealistic; however, after coming to power, they made its implementation a reality for the benefit of every child.
“We are working hard to break the 8-year jinx. Our opponents can continue tickling themselves and laughing, and it will take them by surprise that NPP will be declared the winners of the 2024 elections, and it will shock them like how we make the free SHS policy possible,” he stressed.

Dr. Kingsley Agyeman mentioned that the NPP has performed better and they can’t afford to lose the December 7 polls to the NDC to come and ride on their success.
Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, owing to this, believes the NPP deserves to be retained rather than resting the future of the country in the hands of the NDC, whose leader, John Mahama, lacks credibility.
He further questioned why Mr. Mahama, who is a former president, would be seeking reelection, having made remarks that raised concerns about the credibility of his presidential bid.
“Mahama says 4 years is not good for him, so why is he contesting the 2024 elections unless he is coming to capsize the country’s constitution in his favor and allow him to extend the 4 years mandatory grace period given to every President into office other than that, he should exit from the Presidential race,” he added.

The Assemblyman for the Asafo electoral area, who doubles as the Presiding Member for the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly, Amoako Atta, added that though there have been concerns amongst the majority of Ghanaians about hardship in the country the NDC is not an option to address it.
He indicated that the NDC has nothing new to offer Ghanaians, and it amounts to an insult asking the public for reelection to assume power again.
