
The Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, has proposed making the agriculture sector attractive if elected Ghana’s next President since it is one of his topmost priorities.
He promised to invest heavily in the sector to make sure there is availability of enough food in the country.
According to the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Candidate, he will use the money generated from the country’s natural resources to run the agriculture sector.
“In Ghana, over 60% of people are into farming activities, and if they prosper, our economy will also grow, hence investing in their work to change their living conditions,” he opined.
Dr. Bawumia who asserted this at Fanteakwa North Constituency when addressing party members as part of his Eastern Tour urged them to work hard to enable the party retain power in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia then assured farmers of farm equipments that will enhance their work to enable them produce more food items for the country.
Faustina Yeboah, an independent Parliamentary Candidate for Fanteakwa North who rescinded her decision to throw her support for the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate of the area Kwame Appiah Kodua said;

“She added that she had an engagement with Dr. Bawumia and realized his vision and plans for Fanteakwa North and Ghana as a whole are very huge and saw the need to bow out from the Parliamentary race and rally behind him to win power in 2024 to enable him to develop the country.”
She used the platform and asked for forgiveness from her followers of redrawing her bid, adding she took the decision for their own good.
On the part of the Parliamentary Candidate, Kwame Appiah Kodua, he affirmed that whether hook or crook, the NDC will lose the 2024 elections to Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
He indicated that the Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia government has performed tremendously and therefore the next NPP administration will continue and create more jobs for the youth to reduce the unemployment rate issues in the country.
