The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa East Constituency in the Eastern Region, Abena Osei Asare, has admonished the Muslim community in Anyinam to vote for her to maintain the Parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
She acknowledged their role played during her victory in the previous elections, and further said she is relying on them with their vote counts massively on December 7, 2024.
According to Madam Osei Asare, retaining her in power for another term in office will see the continuation of her numerous developmental projects in various sectors.
The MP further reminded the Muslims in the area of the need to honor their own in the person of the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
“If you vote for me and don’t vote for Dr. Bawumia you have not done anything, urging them to desist from the skirt and blouse style in the 2024 election and give the leadership mantle to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to become the substantive President to help her discharge her duties accordingly in 2025,” she noted.

The Atiwa East Legislature made this known on Friday, September 13, when she embarked on a street-to-street and market-to-market campaign in the area, accompanied by the party’s executives in the constituency.
They used the opportunity and joined the Muslim brothers and sisters in their Friday session prayers at the mosque, where they asked for Allah’s blessings and favor ahead of the forthcoming 2024 general elections.
Emphasizing the need to vote for the NPP, she opined that a vote for Dr. Bawumia is a vote for prosperity.
For his part, the Chairman of the Constituency, Albert Nuamah said that Ghana needs Dr. Bawumia in this crucial time to change the fortunes of the country.
According to him, the world has been hit with an economic crisis; therefore, Ghana needs an innovative and visionary leader like the NPP presidential candidate to lead the country to return to its glory days.

The campaign exercise saw the team visit places such as the Anyinam Mosque and Anyinam Market, among others, and have interactions with the people to explain what is entailed in the Party’s 2024 manifesto.
Some market women told KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH in an interview that they have taken the 2024 elections personally and indicated they will vote for NPP to protect the image of the Free Senior High School education policy because they cannot afford to see it collapse under the NDC.
They stated that if not for the FSHS most of their children would have stayed home after completing Junior High School (JHS).
They promised Madam Abena Osei Asare a massive turnout, giving her a resounding victory to retain the seat since her achievement as MP in the area is outstanding.
