Over 80 Widows In Suhum And Nankɛse Benefits From OSMAH Foundation

The Office of the Suhum Mankrado Ankobea Hemaa (OSMAH) donated 6 yards of cloth to over 60 widows who attended church at Nankɛse Methodist Church in the Suhum Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

This gesture forms part of the 2024 Suhum Odwira Festival celebrations, aimed at showing love and support to the community.

Speaking to KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Nana Akosua Korang Larbi, who also serves as the Mankrado Ankobea Hemaa of the Suhum Traditional Authority, explained that the Foundation is focused on supporting the girl child.

However, this time they saw the need to extend assistance to the widows in Nankɛse, with the aim of bringing them joy as Christmas approaches.

“Some other 30 who were not widows also benefited from the gesture, because looking at the situation in which they found themselves they were unable to afford such items. Meanwhile they also had to look good for Christmas, as a result, they were included,” she noted.

Nana Korang Larbi shared that the beneficiaries were astonished by the generous donation, as they never imagined receiving 6 yards of cloth in such difficult times.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the donor by praying for God’s blessings and protection on her life.

The Suhum Mankrado Ankobea Hemaa seized the opportunity to appeal to stakeholders, individuals, corporate institutions, and NGOs to follow her Foundation’s example by supporting the less privileged, especially widows, to help them feel valued in society.
