President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has admonished Ghanaians to reject former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress describing him as a failed President.
According to him, the former statesman performed abysmally during his administration.
Hence, Ghanaians dumped him for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
President Akufo Addo could not fathom what the NDC’s presidential candidate seek again in his reelection bid despite the embarrassment he faced from Ghanaians 8 years ago.
President Nana Addo mentioned that John Mahama preaches a 24-hour economy policy, but when asked a question about how he is going to implement it, he struggled to provide a clear explanation rather claimed the policy was voluntary.
Against this backdrop, the President stated categorically that such a figure -Mahama do not deserve to be a leader of a state.
He made this statement at Akyem Kwaben on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, during the commissioning of the 40-capacity-bed Atiwa West District Assembly’s Agenda 111 Hospital project.
President Akufo Addo used the opportunity and appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia come Saturday, December 7, to succeed him because he presents a quality-leader-alike for Ghana, unlike former President John Dramani Mahama.
The Member of Parliamentary for the Constituency, Kwasi Amoako Atta, on his part, praised President Akufo Addo for the numerous infrastructure projects being done across all 16 Regions in Ghana, describing him as a father for all.
The MP, who previously served as Minister of Roads and Highways, stressed that the legacy of President Akufo Addo would be forever remembered by generations to come.
Osaberima Dr. Owusu Bɛyaaman, Muosohene in his welcome address as a Chairperson for the program underscores the president’s numerous policy implementation including the implementation of the Free SHS education policy.
He said it paved the way to allow both the rich and the poor to study under the same roof and over 5.7 million Ghanaian youth has benefited from this initiative since its inception in 2017.
“President Nana Addo, after making sure that every Ghanaian child should have access to free SHE education, prioritizes quality healthcare delivery as well, hence building Agenda 111 Hospital projects of which we are commissioning ours today, and we are grateful to him for his good works for mother Ghana,” he opined.
