The Heritage Christian University College (HCUC) in Amasaman, in the Greater Accra Region, has celebrated its 6th graduation ceremony, during which over 100 students graduated successfully from the prestigious institution.
The 2024 congregation ceremony was held under the theme: “AI and Jobs: The Implications for the Youth.”
Speaking to the press, at a cross-section, the Director of Media and Public Affairs for the university, Conrad Kakraba, highlighted HCUC’s commitment to providing quality education in Ghana, comparable to other leading universities.
He explained that, beyond academic training, the university also focuses on character development to empower students to combat corruption and other societal challenges that hinder progress.
Mr. Kakraba emphasized that every student at HCUC is trained to become an entrepreneur, equipping them with the skills to establish and manage their businesses after graduation.
He added that awards were given to students who demonstrate entrepreneurial success. The first prize winner received an impressive ¢100,000.00, reflecting the university’s emphasis on practical skills and personal development over theoretical knowledge alone.
The Director of Media and Public Affairs also expressed gratitude to God for the elevation of the College to chartered University status.
He noted that this milestone would inspire the institution to enhance its training programs, producing well-equipped graduates to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Mensah, an accounting student, was crowned the overall best-graduating student for the year 2024.
