New Duodukrom Chief Pledges To Champion Development And Secure Health Facility

The newly installed Chief of Duodukrom in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council of the Eastern Region has stated that traditional rulers are entrusted with the responsibility to champion development projects for their people.

According to him, the core mandate of every chief is to employ effective lobbying skills and connections with relevant authorities to secure infrastructure projects.

Barfuo Okae Ayeh I indicated that one of his topmost priorities is to secure a health facility for the Duodukrom community to ensure access to quality healthcare.

He explained that Duodukrom is a farming community, and the absence of a health centre is worrying. He noted that when someone falls sick, they have to be transported to the Suhum Government Hospital for treatment, which is not ideal.

The Duodukrom Chief pledged to lobby both the Ayensuano District Assembly and the appropriate authorities to build a health facility in the community, so residents can receive treatment locally.

He assured the people that he would work closely with them to develop the area.

The Chief of Kofipare, Barfuo Opare Amponsah III, on his part, urged the community to give their full support to the new chief, stressing that development can only be achieved through unity and cooperation.
