Oyokohene Lauds Group For Development Support

The Oyokohene, Nana Osei Bonsu Sempeh II of the New Juaben Traditional Council in the Eastern Region, has praised Royal Sweet Queens International for donating hospital items to the Oyoko Health Center, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery to clients.

The Royal Sweet Queens International is a women’s association based in the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, and their mandate is to give back to society and provide support for the vulnerable in the catchment area.

The association aims to champion developmental projects in the New Juaben Traditional Council, and this donation forms part of their Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR).

The donated items included bedsheets, pillows, pillowcases, towels, toiletries, chairs, and an emergency medical trolley, among others.

The Oyokohene received the items and handed them over to the management of the Oyoko Health Center and implored them to make good use of them.

Nana Osei Bonsu Sempeh II said he was impressed with their kind gesture and used the opportunity to call on other associations from Oyoko to emulate the Royal Sweet Queens International.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Sweet Queens International, Felicia Boateng, said that when they launched the association in August this year, they pledged to use the money raised at the launch to support the Oyoko Health Center to enable them to render quality healthcare services to their clients, hence the donation.

She indicated that they also constructed the entrance of the Health Center to beautify the place so that when it rains, those coming to receive treatment would not walk through muddy waters to enter the facility.

Madam Boateng added that before their donation, they embarked on a massive general clean-up exercise to ensure both the inside and outside of the Health Center were clean.

“This is what we can also do to support our community’s development,” she noted.

The medical doctor of the Oyoko Health Center, Acheampong Sakyi, expressed gratitude to the association for their benevolence, saying it would improve their service delivery.

He disclosed that the facility is in dire need of a hematology analyzer and a medical incinerator.

‘If we get this equipment we won’t go to any hospital to run tests for our patient,” he expressed.

He then appealed to philanthropists, stakeholders, and NGOs to come to their aid and assist them with the equipment to enable them to run those tests at their end.
