The God’s Coming Kingdom Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has donated relief items to the Good Shepherd orphanage home in Kosoa, Ofankor, in the Central Region.
The items include four bags of rice, tomato paste, tins of milk and sugar, cooking oil, bags of pure water, and toiletries, among others.
The donation by God’s Coming Kingdom Foundation forms part of its corporate social responsibility by ensuring that the children have a comfortable and joyful period.
Solomon Nyarko Abronoma, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation, emphasized that the donation is part of their humanitarian responsibility.
Speaking with Accra FM/CTV’s Apelete Kofi Michel, Mr. Abronoma stated he believes that the central government alone cannot meet every need of the less privileged ones in our communities and indicated an individuals and organizations have to provide support for such people within the various communities so that they can feel they are also part of us.
He called on Ghanaians to unite and contribute their quota toward nation-building, highlighting the crucial need to show love and support for the less privileged, especially the orphans.
Nyarko Abronoma expressed gratitude to his sponsors, whose support made the donation possible.
The CEO explained that they realized the children were facing many challenges and saw the need to come to their aid.
He entreated the kids to take their education seriously to enable them to become responsible adults and assist their colleagues who are also encountering the same problems in life.
Rev. Nimako Boateng, the head of the Good Shepherd Orphanage, received the items and expressed his profound gratitude to the God’s Coming Kingdom Foundation for their kind gesture, describing the donation as timely.
He used the opportunity to appeal to other NGOs and well-meaning Ghanaians to emulate God’s Coming Kingdom Foundation.
“We need financial assistance to pay the school fees of the children and our utility bills, therefore, calling on philanthropists, corporate bodies, and Civil Society Organizations to come to their aid and help these children to secure a better future,” he appealed.
