The Member of Parliament for Suhum in the Eastern Region, Frank Asiedu Bekoe, has emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure every Ghanaian benefits from the national cake.
According to Protozoa, all 261 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) represent the central government and are responsible for ensuring that every community within their jurisdiction receives infrastructure projects to improve living conditions.
The Suhum MP made these remarks when addressing chiefs, elders, and residents during the 2025 Odwira Festival.
Mr. Bekoe further admonished the people of Suhum to rally behind Lydia Ohenewaa, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Suhum Municipal Assembly, to succeed and enable her to embark on more developmental projects that will transform the municipality.
As part of his corporate social responsibility, Protozoa organized free health screening for residents in support of the 2025 Suhum Odwira Festival, indicating that health remains one of his topmost priorities.
For his part, Suhumhene Osaberima Ayeh Kofi, in his speech, entreated women in the township to instill discipline in their children to help them grow into responsible citizens who can contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.
He observed further that when parents raise their children on the right path, they avoid acts that may jeopardize their future, which in the long run earns them both respect and joy.
