Eastern Regional NADMO Director Installs Kukurantumi Sanaahene

The Eastern Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organization, Kudjo Adukpo, has been installed as Sanaahene of Akyem Kukurantumi in the Adonten Division of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.

The 51-year-old Kudjo Adukpo, according to him, has served the Okyeman community for more than two decades with humility and integrity, which is why the Nanaanom of Akyem Kukurantumi recognizes his efforts and contributions toward the community’s growth and development, thus honoring him.

The Kukurantumihene, Daasebre Boamah Darko II, in his speech urged him to give the needed respect to every Chief in Adonten Division, and in doing so, they will also guide and help him succeed during his reign as Kukurantumi Sanaahene.

He added that no matter what, not everybody will love him because he [Daasebre Boamah Darko II], some people hate him, and it is part of the Chieftaincy issues, so, therefore, he shouldn’t respond to anything he will hear but rather remain focused and discharge his duties responsibly to transform the area.

“If you’re confronting any challenges, kindly report it directly to me because I’m the overlord of Okyeman Adonten Division and that problem would be addressed accordingly to bring peace,” noted Daasebre Darko II.

For his part, the newly installed Kukurantumi Sanaahene, Nana Adukpo, reaffirmed his commitment to continue to serve Okyeman, especially the people of Kukurantumi, with truth and integrity to champion infrastructure projects in the area.

He thanked Daasebre Boamah Darko II and his cabinet for entrusting the community’s finances under his care and assured them that he would not disappoint them but would work assiduously with them to strengthen their financial status.

Nana Adukpo used the opportunity and said he is not coming to create division among his colleagues, Chiefs, but rather to create a conducive environment for all and sundry to enjoy peace and unity among themselves to enable them to develop Kukurantumiman together.

The Effiduase Kuasehene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, who graced the event, Katakyia Opoku Ware, in his address, admonished Nana Adukpo to heed the advice given to him by Daasebre Boamah Darko II and his cabinet to help him succeed.

“If you want the stool to bless you, then let the truth lead you in your daily activities, and that will attract investors to come and invest in your community by establishing businesses to create more jobs for your community members,” he mentioned.
