Pastor Joyce Nyarko of Full Life Assemblies of God-Ghana in Trom in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of Eastern Region, has urged H. E. Prez Nana Addo to humbly cancelled this year’s Valentine Day celebration and probably celebrate it next year God willing.
According to her, the second hike of coronavirus disease is alarming and if this year’s Val’s day celebration which takes off on Sunday, February 14, 2021 the covid cases would get out of the hands.
She added, should this call is enbarked on, there wouldn’t be human congestion anywhere like hotels, beaches, pubs, clubs, spots etc even though there is ban on those places but yet still some recalcitrants will sneak out and go.
“Because this is what we can do to curb the spread of coronavirus disease in the country” she stressed.
Mrs. Joyce Nyarko made these call when speaking in an interview with KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH of Kingdom fame.
She schooled, ‘Val’s day is the day of showing true love to ourselves as Christ Jesus did for us by sacrificing himself for us to be have salvation’.
However, Pastor Joyce some underscore how “Valentine day” has been misused in this era doing unworthy things, which she said is not the best way to go.
she continue “we are in a difficult time but we shouldn’t give up, God is still with us”.
Pastor Mrs. Nyarko then entreated the general public, most especially parents to teach their wards to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols to prevent them, and others from contracting the disease.
“Parents also have a key role to play in this crucial time by educating their wards to know how importance it is to mask up and also to wash their hands regularly” she advised.
