The African Political landscape has been associated a with a lot negativity ranging from propaganda,Lies,insults, character assasination just to mention a few .

Politicians are viewed with a certain spectacle and the citizenry always have issues with national leaders.

Having encountered an outstanding woman from the East in the person of Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo popularly known as Hajia Kande,MP for Abuakwa North who doubles as the Deputy Minister in charge Of Technical and Vocational Education, i am more than convinced that the virtue of decency, integrity, Truth still exists today in our body politics.

Having entered Parliament in 2016, she was made a deputy minister in Charge of Gender,women and Social protection for which her achievements in the ministry was enough testament for her reassignment to no less a Ministry but the ministry of education, which in my estimation has been the best ministry in the Nana Addo Danquah led administration.

The implementation of the biggest policy since independence in free Shs and the enhancement in the education sector cant be touted with her contribution with the solid team of Hon.Martin Opoku Prempeh the substantive Minister And Dr. Yaw Adutwum also a deputy minister.

The Changing trends of education places emphasis on technical and vocational which is seen as the bedrock of every Society.Technical and practical skills revolutionarise human talent from the static, Colonial, theoretic knowledge which has been the bane of most African countries.

Her exploits at the ministry in Charge of TVET needs special attention.she has with the support of The president and her Minister changed the face of Technical education in the country.She’s secured foreign partnership for some technical schools to train them in the modern trends of technology.Agains she’s overseen the construction, rehabilitation and expansion of Several technical schools across the country. It’s not surprising that in 2019 she won an award as most outstanding woman in Ghanaian politics.

In her constituency which is Abuakwa North,her hardwork is glaring for all and sundry. Hajia Kande is a progressive and proactive person with alot of humility.Her commitment to work is amazing and she’s always conspicuous in her constitution.

Hon.Gifty is a mother for all and cuts across the political divide. Having encountered her personally, I have come to the realization that it is possible to politics without lies and still Maintain your integrity.

Hon.Gifty is resolute Abuakwa North is blessed to have such a politician. Her hardwork has been recognised internationally as she is currently the Ghanaian Ambassador for Women Political Leaders,an international women network geared towards increasing women participation in Politics.she’s also garnered some awards to her credit.The most covetous being the most outstanding woman in Ghanaian politics in 2019.Recently, she received an award from United Clergy International Global Achievers award as the Community impact personality for excellence in leadership.

My fellow constituents, Hajia Kande has justified herself and for continuity and onward development of Abuakwa North we need to Maintain H.E. Nana Addo Danquah and Hon.Gifty Twum Ampofo.Shes been tried and tested and she has proven beyond reasonable doubt that she is a game changer.

To sum it up,I am particularly grateful for the construction of the Tontro Junction road to Tontro town.A road which has never seen bitumen in it’s existence.Tontro is gradually becoming a sports center(The Peduase of Akyem) as young men and woman always troop there to exercise. Am still doing the “Susu” and very soon I will buy a land in Tontro.

The flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has reiterated that, he will retrieve all the confiscated excavators and concessions belonging to small scale miners reportedly given to New Patriotic Party (NPP) sympathizers if he wins the 2020 elections.

The NDC flagbearer also assured the cocoa farmers of a return of the cocoa-free fertilizer policy which the current administration has canceled.

Mr. John Mahama said this when he addressed a durbar of chiefs and people of Wassa Gyapa in the Wassa Amenfi East municipal on Tuesday, 21, on day two of his four-day campaign tour of the Western Region.

Former President John Dramani Mahama indicated the commitment of the National Democratic Congress in completion of all the 200 community day Senior High Schools (E-blocks) project when voted into power.

The leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress told Offinso based Time FM in his address that in the next NDC government, each district would get a Technical Institute in order to improve upon the human capital of the Ghanaian youth.

In this regard, he called for the needed attention to be given to Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the country since everyone couldn’t acquire secondary education.

The flagbearer described the Free SHS program as a good policy. According to him, the next NDC administration will completely abolish the double-track system should the party be voted back into power.

Mr Mahama said this will ensure that all students attend school at the same time and get adequate contact hours from their teachers.

On his part, the Wassa Amenfi East NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Hon Nicholas Amankwah a.k.a Home Boy stated that rural electrification projects that were started in Wassa Amenfi East by the NDC administration have been abandoned by the incumbent government.

He told Offinso Time 105.3Fm that his next government will see to it to complete all the projects that were being started under them but got stalled after the NDC lost power to NPP.

He made a humble appeals to Amenfi East electorates to vote out the NPP government and vote for the NDC to bring back development to the people of Amenfi East and Ghana at large.

Nicholas Amankwah is optimistic that the NDC party is wining Amenfi East both the presidential and the parliamentary seat.

As Ghana prepares for peaceful 2020 general elections with political tensions mounting everywhere, decourus communications plays a key role.

The Eastern Regional chapter of Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) coordinators have organised a refresher workshop for over one hundred and fifty grassroots, radio and television communicators for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Akyem New-Tafo in Abuakwa North Constituency.

Speaking to Nana Kwasi Asare of Nopras Fm, the leader of the coordinators also the Eastern Regional NABCO coordinator and first vice chairman of Abuakwa North NPP, Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim popularly called Alhaji Opass mentioned that, they (coordinators) decided to give back to the party as the party has made them who they are by the employing them as coordinators for this flagship policy.

He added that, communication plays a very sensitive role in politics hence the need to bring all communicators in the region to the workshop to trained ahead of the 7th December, 2020 to consolidate victory for the New Patriotic Party.
On behalf of the group, Alhaji Seidu presented cash of five thousand cedis for the workshop.

Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim admonished all participants to put the knowledge acquired during the workshop into practice to ensure victory cometh the general elections for more developmental projects by the Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP administration.

Participants were taken through the National, Regional and Localized manifesto of the NPP and a strategic way of communicating its contents to the masses for effective campaigns ahead of the polls.

The workshop saw the presence of Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo, MP Abuakwa North and Deputy Minister For Education (TVET), Hon Owusu Twum-Ampofo, MCE Abuakwa North and some regional and constituency executives.

Dasebre Boamah Darko II, the Chief of Akyem Kukurantumi who doubles as the Adontenghene of the Okyeman Traditional Area has stated, the Almighty God and Nana Buor(local deity) of the land will never forget the honour the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region and NPP’s MP hopeful and also the Deputy Minister for Education incharge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) , Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, has done for Abuakwa North Constituency.

He explained that, Chiefs are not expected to do open campaigns for political parties but he (Dasebre Boamah Darko II) has his choice of candidate in his mind that will translate to votes during the 7th December, 2020 general elections.

He added that, looking at the rate of developmental projects his community is recieving within these three years of Nana Akufo-Addo led administration, he will proclaim that the Almighty God and the god of Adonteng division of Okyeman (Nana Buor) will honour the NPP with their heart desires in the Constituency cometh December 7, 2020 polls.

Dasebre Boamah II mentioned these when Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo visited him at his palace to recount her achievements within her four year tenure as Member of Parliament through Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP administration.

Hon. Gift Twum ceased the opportunity to show her profound gratitude to Dasebre Boamah Darko II and his cabinet for their continuous prayers and support when she became the MP for the Constituency.

She added that, the NPP gov’t administration led by Prez Akufo-Addo has a lot to do for Ghanaians especially the Abuakwa North Constituents if he voted again to lead this country. Vote Prez Akufo-Addo and Gifty Twum Ampofo to continue their good works to transform Ghana.

The Eastern Regional branch of Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in partnership with National Cybersecurity Centre has organized a day workshop and sensitization on Cybersecurity and cybercrime awareness programme for the Journalist in the region.

This workshop is aimed to build the capacity of Journalists and media practitioners in the eastern region.

Addressing the journalists and media practitioners at the event, the Advisor of the Ghana National Cybersecurity, Dr. Albert Antwi Bosiako said, anytime we are having a deal with someone and we suspect there is fraud somewhere in the deal we shouldn’t hesitate to call 292, officers are there to give guidance.

Dr. Antwi Bosiako adds, “about 5,000 people from January to August of this year (2020) call the centre for direction and they were being prevented from fraud”. This are some of the things we need to share with Journalists because we can also disseminate the messages at the end of the day to ensure we have a secured digital environment to operate.

“We should all take the Cybersecurity awareness as a personal responsibility. Again we should also know that it is not everything on the internet is good for us” Dr. Albert Bosiako advised.

He continue that, we are responsible by the action and inaction when we are using the internet. The action is whereby you snap your nude picture and posted it on the internet. Immediately you do that many website will picked it and if the law enforcement says we can remove that picture it wouldn’t be easy and in most cases it stays there forever. Therefore we need to be careful about the things we posted on the internet.

Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH in an interview with the Eastern Regional Chairman for Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Mr. Maxwell Kudekor stated, the job we are doing as Journalists its our collective responsibility to educate, inform and entertain the general public.

He said, as a Journalist if you want to teach someone on what’s happening in the country then you have to build your capacity. We are in an era of fake news, misinformation and disinformation. It is important for every journalist to be able to detect the fake news before airing it. Doing this will prevents us from going into troubles.

Mr. Kudekor commend the Ghana National Cybersecurity Centre for the workshop. This has made us to know that we can’t pick any story from the internet and be broadcasting it.

The NPP’s Loyal Ladies have stormed Suhum to do campaign for Prez Akufo-Addo and the Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, Mr. Ɔboafoɔ Kojo Asante.

According to the Loyal Ladies, last year during the 2016 electioneering process they came to Suhum to do campaign for the then NPP’s presidential candidate Nana Addo and their PC, Hon. Opare Ansah and they were being attacked and beating by the NDC supporters and chased them out of the constituency.

Kingdom News in an interview with Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection who doubles as the MP for Agona West Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Mrs . Cynthia Mamle Morrison who joined the Loyal Ladies condemned the act and said we shouldn’t encourage violence whenever there is ongoing campaigns.

“Violence is not necessary in our active politics. Politics is all about the ideas and you don’t have to fight your colleagues if they don’t belongs to your party” she cautioned.

Hon. Mamle Morrison adds, we are saying no to political violence, everybody should share its ideas if the people buys it fine if they don’t, it’s okay but you have no right to fight that person. She added, the law enforcement agencies should be up and doing to ensure that anybody who infringes on someone’s right would be dealth with….

The National P.R.O. for Loyal Ladies, Ms. Edwina Boamah in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH said, the purpose of which they have stormed Suhum again is to speak against those who trampled upon the right of the women who are into politics to put stop to it, because its a humiliation to the country.

“4yrs ago, our people came here to do campaign for our two candidates that’s both Presidential and Parliamentary (Nana Addo and Opare Ansah) and some NDC’s hooligans attacked and beat them, forgotten that they were women and its very disturbing” she narrated.

“We are here again not to only do campaign for Prez Akufo-Addo and the aspirant parliamentary candidate for the constituency Mr. Ɔboafoɔ Kojo Asante, but to register our displeasure to the NDC hooligans who did that to know that women also plays an important role in our active politics and also contribute a lot to the country’s development” Ms. Edwina Boamah explained.

The Eastern Regional Secretary for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Kudjo Adukpo in an interview with kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH has said, they won’t allow anybody whether the person is a Ghanaian or alien to come and take over the country’s upcoming December 7, polls.

According to him, anybody who will made up the mind to take the ballot box away, will be crushed because there will be security personnel around.

“But if you’re security personnel and you make any attempt to support those hooligans you will also face our wrath” Because we want peace to prevail before, during and after the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Kudjo Adupko adds, after the elections, whoever wins, is for the country’s development. But we won’t sit down for anybody to collapsed the country Dr. Kwame Nkrumah fought for….

“We are not threatening any security agency in the country, but all what we are saying is that,’ whether you belongs to NDC, NPP, PPP, NDP, GFP, CPP etc, and you planned to tarnish the image of Ghana, we will resist” he explained.

The former NDC Secretary for the region, Mr. Mark Oliver Kevor on his part said, its funny to hear that, the eastern regional executives for NPP are claiming they are going to win 30 parliamentary seat out of the 33 seats.

He emphatically stated, this years elections, they can’t even win more than 25 seats, at least their maximum seats will be 18 and adding that they (NDC) have targeted 15 seats in the region.

Mr. Oliver Kevor mentioned that some constituency’s parliamentary seats are shaking and they will claim all those seats from the NPP. Currently NPP is having 27 parliamentary seats as against NDC 6 seats.

“Akwatia, Suhum, Abirem, Fanteakwa North, Ayensuano, Upper Manya Krobo etc all this constituencies parliamentary seats is for NPP but we will take it from them” he revealed.

Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo the National Chairman for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has blast and mock at Prez Akufo-Addo for given one fully air condition V8 with security personnel to protect and carry his chair to everywhere he goes in the country.

This he described as “governance is not like carrying the Ghana’s presidential chair around” because the chair is not your own property. “Good governance is to bring development to your people”

Mr. Ofosu Ampofo explained that, governance is all about responding to the wishes and aspirations of the people and addressed their socio – economic needs.

“Four years under Prez Nana Addo is full of hardship meanwhile in 2016 he told us that he is coming to create more jobs for the youth to get something doing and am asking has the youth gotten work doing as he promised? ” he asked.

I’m telling Prez Akufo-Addo again; “governance is not like palm wine to taste and see”. Under his tenure, he has collapsed a lot of banks and micro finances in the country including Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduoms’s own.

“If am passing by and I sees Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom’s banks being left in the bush and is rotten, I feel so sorry for him. Because his banks alone employed over 3,000 workers but now they are all at home and is very disturbing”he cried.

Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo mentioned these at Asuokoo in the Upper West Akim when the NDC’s Veep candidate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang embarked on 5 day eastern regional tour.

Prof. Jane Opoku-Agyemang on her part commended the Upper West Akim constituents for voting NDC for over 20yrs. Because they want good things for their constituency.

Voting is about moving the country forward in terms of development but not about putting fear in the citizens, bragging and long talk.

Whenever NDC is in power, people sees our good works physically and we do exactly what the people expected of us. That’s why in our manifesto , we went for an idea from the good people of Ghana write it. So you could see that our manifesto covers everybody in the country. She therefore admonished Ghanaians to vote NDC coming off December 7,2020 polls.

Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region and also Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea has filed his nomination forms at Kyebi Municipal Electoral Commission’s office to contest the December 7, 2020 polls.

The filing of the forms were being done by the constituency executives on behalf of him and it was led by the party’s Chairman, Mr. Yaw Boakye.

Kingdom News in an interview with Chairman Yaw Boakye stressed, the vision of Hon. Atta Kyea is that, the constituents will vote massively to glorify Prez Akufo-Addo as native of Akyem Abuakwa.

He said, Akyem Abuakwa can get more developmental projects if the constituent, heavily votes Nana Addo.
“Because this is the first time in Ghana’s history, someone from Akyem Abuakwa has won the presidential seat.

Chairman Yaw Boakye adds, now that they have grabbed the presidential seat for the first time, the good of Akyem Abuakwa should rally behind Prez Akufo-Addo to ensure he goes for his second term to bring more developmental projects to the constituency and Ghana as a whole.

He was speaking in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH after successfully filed the forms on behalf of his MP, Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea.

He continue that, under the regime of their MP, the Abuakwa South Constituency have witnessed so many developmental projects of which he can’t mention them one after the other.

“The Free SHS education has reduced burdens from our MP. Aside that he still cater for some vulnerable students who are furthering their education at the tertiary level both home and abroad” he revealed.

Chairman Boakye further stated, this year’s new voter registration exercise, they registered over 51,000 eligible voters and they expected not less than 49,000 out of them to come out in their numbers to vote massively for Prez Akufo-Addo and Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea to continue their good works for mother Ghana.

He therefore made a humble appeal to indigenes of Abuakwa South who have travelled outside the constituency to come home and vote when the elections period is due.

Founder and leader of Arena of Hope Ministry, Prophet Nana Yaw Yeboah has plead to all Ghanaian both near and far to abstain from negative influence that will destroy the nation as we are about to enter into elections.

He urged all Christians to forgive one another and have it a point that the Christians are mentored in forgiveness and yet both politicians and civiliens has a role to play in other to maintain the peace we are enjoying in the country.

“God love and care for our nation, we seek peace among God’s people and all who answered the call to be God’s child” he plead.
