The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, has stated it has no plan to cancel the free SHS policy introduced by the Akufo-Addo administration.
Announcing highlights of the NDC manifesto on Monday at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Professor Opoku Agyemang, stated that a future NDC administration will make the free SHS better and more inclusive.
“We have every plan and desire to make the free SHS much better,” she said adding that and NDC government will abolish double track system by completing all educational structures and e-blocks abandoned by the NPP government.
According to her, an NDC government under Mr John Mahama will expand the free SHS policy to cover students in private senior high schools.

He said, the launch of the program doesn’t brings an end to Galamsey or illegal mining which have wreaked havoc to arable lands and water bodies in the country as claimed by the NPP government.
According to him, the community mining will not be done the right way, within the tenets of the mining laws, and will destroy our natural resources.
He challenged the government to provide clarification on which category under the Large Scale Mining, Medium Scale and the Small Scale Mining the NPP’s community mining forms part and the equipment to be used for the mining activities.
“Why President Akufo-Addo inaugurated the Community Mining Programme in Aboaso Methodist primary school compound in Prestea Huni-Valley constituency instead of Community mining site in the Aboaso of the Western region if truly the initiative is genuine” he questioned?.
The Prestea NDC communication officer calls on the government to urgently release the ‘shaft’ to the galamsey miners to mine and ensure proper regulation of the mining activities as being done in cocoa production to create jobs for the youth.
The Community Mining Programme according to the government, is aimed at formalizing mining in selected communities across the country with at least one community is expected to be set up in each of the mining districts in the country.
Mr. Kwame Bonful said, the scandal over the missing excavators seized from illegal miners has unmasked the NPP party and President Akufo-Addo as the ringleader of the “Galamsey” gang sabotaging the fight against illegal mining.
Mr. Acheampong Bonful believe that, the national campaign against illegal mining popularly known as galamsey was coy to enrich members of the ruling NPP party.
“The Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Central Region, Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusi and other accomplices have taken advantage of the state’s fight against galamsey, to allegedly expropriate seized equipment including the 500 excavators and other possessions of illegal miners” he added.
He therefore questions why the minister responsible for Environment, Science, Technology & Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng is still at post over the missing excavators seized from illegal miners.
Mr. Kwame Acheampong Bonful also bemoaned the silence of major stakeholders such as opinion leaders as well as Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) concerning their plight and that of the Ghanaian natural resources downplayed by the NPP government adding that, posterity will be a better judge.
The Leader and Founder of the Olive Bible College in Nkawkaw of the Eastern Region, Prophet Frank Gyasi popularly known as ‘Spiritual IGP’ in an interview with Kingdom FM’s Akua Akyedie has expressed his worried about how some men of God have associated themselves with the politicians in the country.
‘It is very sad to see able men of God throwing to air false prophesies on who to win elections that will later yield shame to their ministerial work”
According to him, we don’t use politics to launch ourselves. “Politics is purposely meant for the politicians but not for the men of God”
“It’s better for every genuine men of God to desist from politics and stay focused to do the God’s work” he advice.
Prophet Gyasi continue to say, “if we have something to do, we should rather pray for the development of the country and show homage to whoever would be elected as the President of the Republic”
He further stated, “we are in the elections season so we must all be mindful of our words towards each other; election is not about fighting, if you finish casting your vote, just go home and take care of yourself”
Prophet Frank Gyasi revealed these during their 7th ordination service where 20 men and 15 women were ordained to joined the work of God.
The founder and leader of Arena of Hope in Accra, Prophet Nana Yeboah has taken it agin to advice all Ghanaians to be faithful to attain Gods’ blessing.

“If all heads of state are to remain faithful to God, our blessings would have been better than this” he said.
“The blessing of God will follow us all if we all understand to be faithful and stop all this negative in-plant of bad act” he add.
He said, “most of the people in the Government officiate use the funds as per how they want and not as the planned of the government”. He prayed all should understand that, in every act we do God should be first and we should always stay faithful to our marriages, work, and all that we do.
“Market women now sells of cheat and marriages are going down among other filthy things because we are not loyal to our masters and ministry” he caution.
“Before God will bless you, he first put you to test to see whether you will be faithful and loyal to him” he said.
He encourage all Christians to desist from evil plans and thought and take the blessing of God. “Be sincere to yourself and others as well” he advice.
God is always on our side if we are sincere and will love to open up with others.
“All government officials are to note that God in planted them on us to make sure all things are being run sincerely and for that reason we should do away the habit of growing cold in Gods’ action to move the nation up front” he advice.
The DCE for Okere District Assembly in the Eastern Region, Hon. Daniel Kenneth has said, Prez Akufo-Addo says “all the live matter and is not about our health alone but our daily activity is also included”

A lot of projects is going on in the Okere District Assembly but the major challenges for the youth is work. As a district the only benefit our youth can get it from us is to help them to get their own hand craft.
Hon. Daniel Kenneth adds, that, they have registered over 549 artisans in the District. “We have let them know that the gov’t is ready to take them into artisanship and the Assembly will pay for for the cost”
In an interview with kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, he continue that, “anyone who will be able to graduate, gov’t will purchase such person some equipment to set up his or her workshop”
“We call this project ‘Okere District Empowerment Fund’. This year we have set aside GH₵100,000.00 of our budgetary allocation to start the project and as time goes on we will increase the amount,’ he revealed”
Hon. Daniel Kenneth further stated, Prez Akufo-Addo and the, MP, Hon. Dan Kweku Botwe want every youth of Okere to get his or her own handiwork to eliminate the unemployment rate from the District.
‘We have over 8,000 youth who don’t have handiwork and we have targeted all of them” he adds.
‘The good news is that, the trainers who will teach them the work are ready to offer their best” Hon. DCE said.
The People Living With Disability (PWDs) in Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region have registered their profound gratitude to Nana Addo led government for supporting them.
“This is the first time I am benefiting from the government as a person with disability”. I really needed money to complete a project but upon consultations with the Social Welfare Department of the Assembly, it emerged that, the government does not issue out money to beneficiaries now, rather builds the capacity of beneficiaries to be self dependants, we arrived at a deep freezer for trading for me to trade with by selling water and other cold drinks. I am deeply overwhelmed seeing what the assembly has instock for me at the moment. I thank the President, the Municipal Chief Executive and the Social Welfare Department for remembering we,’ the needy in the society, I call for another term for Nana Akufo-Addo to do more.” Mr. Gyimabi Wiseborne, a 63 year old retired educationist and resident of Akyem Kukurantumi, submitted.
Miss Josephine Nkansah, 53 years, an unemployed mother of two(2) and resident of Akyem Old-Tafo, could not hide her joy but sang praises to the municipal assembly and government by providing her with a deep freezer and sachet water to start a trade to make her self dependant.
Miss Josephine Nkansah stated that, the government’s intention of not giving beneficiaries physical cash instead, procures all that are required to build their capacities as demanded by the beneficiaries is a welcoming one.
“What makes the difference is that, the physical money we were being given by the previous administration were not used for the purpose of which the money were meant for by us, we buy clothes, food and and even spend on our kids with it. This makes us hard up within some few days after receiving our benefits a situation the current administration has solved. Today, I have been given deep freezer and sachet water to trade with by government. I really appreciate the initiative and thank the municipal assembly and the government as a whole.” she added.
Mrs. Mercy Amoasah,the Municipal Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, said, this is the third phase of building the capacity of people living with disabilities in the municipality since the inception of the assembly in 2018.
Mrs Amoasah stated that, twenty-five beneficiaries recieved their items based on their requests. Items distributed included deep freezers with automatic voltage regulators and bags of sachet water, Corn milling maching, food stuffs, laptop etc.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly Hon. Owusu Twum-Ampofo in his submission, advised all the beneficiaries to make good use of what they have recieved for socio-economic development of the country as the government is committed to not living anyone behind.
He further advised them(PWDs) to be cautious of people who may in one way or the other draw closer to them to milk them off their profits as they(PWD’s) capacity has been built by government to make them self dependants.
MCE for Suhum Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Hon. Margaret Darkwa Darko has handled over the 10km Suhum asphalt to Justmon Constructions Company Ltd for the work to take off.
Addressing the press, Hon. Mrs. Darko said, “not long ago, the Minister for Roads and Transport Hon. Kwasi Amoako Atta cut sod for the completion of Suhum flyover and assured them of the 10Km asphalt”
“We did a lot of followup on the project and today it has come to pass” she adds.
Hon. Margaret Darko continue that, Prez Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his promise for given Suhum 10km of asphalt. The Contractor will start work anytime soon on the road for the people to see that Suhumman have also gotten asphalt.
The NPP Parliament Candidate for Suhum Constituency, Mr. Kojo Asante Boafoɔ in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH highly commended Prez Nana Addo for fulfilling every single promise he promised Ghanaians.
‘When handling over the country to him by former Prez John Mahama, he said there is no money in our coffers and the country don’t have credibility. Because of that Prez Akufo-Addo can’t fulfilled his numerous promises he has made to Ghanaians” Mr. Boafoɔ said.
‘Former Prez Mahama said, Prez Nana Addo can’t do the Free Senior High School education, he can’t restore the Teacher and Nursing training allowance etc but he has done it” he praised.
Hon. Kojo Asante Oboafoɔ added, Prez Akufo-Addo declared this year 2020 as a year of roads and he is doing it. “So let’s give him another mandate to continue his good works”
Furthermore the Suhum Nifahene, Nana Odei Amoako show his profound gratitude to Prez Akufo-Addo for given Suhum 10km of asphalt.
‘As the work have been entrusted under your care, we don’t want any shoddy work on our roads and we are going to monitor your work very well to ensure that a genuine work have been done” he advice the contractor.
Nana Amoako therefore task the Justmon Contractor to employ more youth from Suhum Municipality to assist him to do the work to create employment among the youth and the good people in the municipality.

“If the needs arise, to consult you for direction, we, will do it so that we will be able to achieve the ultimate aim of the Abuakwa South Constituency by increasing Prez Akufo-Addo’s vote,’ he assures.
“We will work hard to increase the presidential votes in our constituency, because in the 2016 polls, we had about 88% votes. This year’s 2020 general elections, we will give Prez Nana Addo 95% votes,’ he assured.
