The Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, his lordship Kwasi Anin Yeboah has urged the Judicial Services of Ghana to exhibit high sense of professionalism when discharging their duties.
According to him, most clients who patronize their services are often physically and emotionally distress. Whiles others are very poor, some of them also have problems which they have to help them because they need comfort of help; thus, they come to court for justice.
His Lordship Kwasi Yeboah adds, harrassment in all its various manifestations including threat, extortion must be avoided. He however, urge the court users and the Bar to fully patronize the court connected alternative dispute resolution.
Chief Justice mentioned this, when he joined by the MCE for Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly, Alhaji Umar Bodinga, and Naanom of Abuakwa North on Friday, March 10, 2023 to commissioned the Akyem Tafo District Magistrate Court Complex to provide justice delivery in the area.
Kwasi Anin Yeboah then charged the Naanom to help the court in solving some issue which can be resolved at home as compared to the formal letigation. The alternative dispute resolution has proven to be speediest, cheaper, and less aggressive under administerial.

Saying that, he is very excited that after 69yrs later President Akufo-Addo has come into their rescue by giving them this beautiful Court complex.

Later on, Tafohene, Osaberima Adusei Peasah told KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that, gone are the days, Chiefs sit on many cases and they resolv it perfectly to bring peace and harmony among those in question. But today, the introduction of law court and constitution has made some people being disdainful to them which is very worrying.
Osaberima Adusei Peasah continue to say, should people respected the Chieftaincy institution like those days and bring their cases to them to be rectified, many court pending issues would have been resolved.
Dr. Benjamin Kwofie, Computer Science Lecturer-KTU.
A lecturer at the Koforidua Technical University of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Benjamin Kwofie has charged the Ghana government to used the various universities in the country to solve the unemployment problems.
According to him, the various universities in the country started from teaching to community service to research and to innovation and are capable of facilitating industrialization.
Therefore he believe successive government must inculcate the habit of consulting lectures at these institutions because their knowledge is enough to solve many challenges confronting the country.
He added, should the government involve universities in its policies, the economic crises and unemployment issues would have been a thine of the past because they have brilliant and intelligent lecturers that can provide remedy to the country’s challenges.
Dr. Kwofie told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when the Koforidua Business Incubator partners the Computer Science Department, Faculty of Applied Science and Theology, and Centre for Development and Enterprise Research to presented the FESTIVAL OF IDEAS, the 2023 edition held at the KTU ceremonial grounds on Wednesday, March ,8 2023.
The theme for the program was: “CREATING THE NEXT JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR TOMORROW’s GRADUATES”. The purpose of the program is to help the students create their own businesses after school.
Dr. Benjamin Kwofie adds, they are ready to offer their ideas to the government that can help created at least 100,000 jobs per a year to at least reduce unemployment if not eradicating it.
Close to about 500 students at the department of Computer Science of the Koforidua Technical University came out with different types of applications that can be use to create numerous job opportunities in the country.
Furthermore, the registrar for Koforidua Technical University, Dr. Nii Annang Mensah-Livinstone said, he is very much impressed with what he observed.
He stated that, the students have done a great work by creating their own Applications that will fetch them money after school.
The Adukuromhene, in the Eastern Region, has described as laudable the gesture of the Akuapehene, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo III for embarking on a visitation tour to the divisions of the traditional area.
According to Ahunuabobrim Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V, the Adukuromhene, the gesture by the overlord of the Akuapem Traditional Council is apt and deserves acknowledgment.
His commendation comes after Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo III embarked on a royal visit to all the five divisions in the Traditional Area. The five divisions include Kronti, Nifa, Gyaase, Adonten, and Benkum.
The exercise dubbed: ‘AKUAPEHENE NKABOM TOUR’ which translates as ‘Akuapehene’s togetherness tour’ commences on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Nifa division.
Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, Ahunuabobrim Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V, who doubles as the Nifahene of the Akuapem Traditional Council said the move will bring unity, peace, togetherness, and love among the people in Akuapemman.
Having said that he noted the traditional overlord first seek to use the tour amidst dialogue to resolve all pending chieftaincy disputes in the area.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Akosua Asabea Annoh has said, Ghana’s political fight for independence led the way for other sub-Saharan Countries to set up their effort towards self-governance.
According to her, Ghana will continue to remain a beacon of hope for many other countries across the African continent.
Akosu Annoh added that the annual celebration of self-governance must be essential irrespective of the current economic crises the country is facing.
The MCE emphatically stated that, the independence didn’t come on a silver platter, but rather it took a great deal of courage, sacrifice, commitment and persistence to achieve it.
Asabea Annoh made this known on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Kyebi during the celebration of Ghana’s 66th Independence Day under the theme: ‘Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose’.

More than 500 youth across all the 29 electoral areas in the Suhum Constituency of the Eastern Region has been enrolled onto the Oboafo Kwadwo Asante apprenticeship program.
The purpose of which the Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency initiated such program for the youth is to help them get their own handiwork doing to minimize the unemployment situation in the area.

Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, Oboafo Kwadwo Asante said, government cannot enter every household and give jobs to the individuals. But noted that it is the reason why gov’t always implement programs that benefit all such as the Free Senior High School.
This, he indicated was the exactly step he has also embarked on done the youth within his catchment area.
According to him, he has suffered before and he don’t want to see this youth going through same terrible situation in their lives; hence the free artisanal program to give them better future.
For them to attend work regularly, the MP gave them machines they will need to use for learning the work with an amount of GH¢500.00 each as their transportation fare.
The program was held at Suhum main lorry station on Sunday, March 5, 2023 and it was under the theme: ‘Empowering The Youth Through Skills Development And Apprenticeship.
Some of the youth spoke with KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their MP for the love shown them.
They promise they won’t let the huge amount of money he has invested in them go waste but rather they will learn hard to ensure they graduate successfully.
For her part, the Suhumhemaa, Nana Arko Bensua I who chaired the program advise them to humble themselves and serve their bosses as they are going to start learning the work.
She mentioned that, the Suhumman will forever be grateful to Oboafo Kwadwo Asante for his good works, because many people could not got such opportunity.
Charles Bissue, Parliamentary Candidate hopeful-Essikado Ketan Constituency.
A former Western Regional secretary for the New Patriot Party (NPP), Charles Cromwell Nanabanyin Wonuawontor Bissue has declared his intention to join thef race to contest the Essikado Ketan parliamentary seat come elections 2024.
He noted that the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Constituency, Joe Ghartey would not seek re-election amidst the declaration for his presidential ambition.
To that effect, Nanabayin Bissue believes he is the perfect replacement for the latter, hence his decision to contest the seat.
Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, he observed that having served the party very well at both national and regional levels, it befit him to become the next MP for Essikado Ketan constituency.
Owing to this, Cromwell Bissue stated that he will pick a form when nominations are opened. This, he is pleading with delegates to vote for him in the primaries to lead them to the promised land and continue the good works of the incumbent.
‘For me not to disappoint the constituents I won’t make any promise especially when it comes to roads construction issues, because MPs don’t construct roads but rather they lobby for them and that is exactly what I’ll do to bring development to the people of Essikado Ketan,’ he added.
In his view, the experience wise of Mr. Ghartey in the political cycles cannot be undermined therefore when elected to succeed him he won’t hesitate to consult him for advice whend necessary to help bring transformation to the area.
The six out of the seven kingmakers of the Royal Asona Family has unanimously affirmed and endorsed the ruling of the Judicial Committee of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs as a true reflection of the decision that led to the electing of the 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa as a valid candidate to ascend to the Begoro stool.
Reacting to a recent news publication of issues relating to Akyem Begoro chieftaincy unrest , the Ankobeahene and also a kingmaker of Akyem Begoro traditional area, Baffuor Owiredu Agyarko Minta II has clarified that, the Judicial Committee of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs ruled in favor of the 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa as eligible to ascend to the Begoro Stool in an appeal case filed by the Appellants.
Baffour Owiredu Agyarko Minta II speaking in a press conference at Begoro revealed that the ruling by the Judicial Committee of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs dated 14th December , 2022 affirmed the earlier ruling by the Judicial Committee of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council (JCAATC) on 25th November, 2021 that the 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa hails from the Antwi Kwasi lineage is validly elected and is eligible to ascend to the Royal Asona stool of Begoro and have gone through the necessary customary procedures used by the seven kingmakers.
According to Baffuor Owiredu Agyarko Minta II, in determination of the appeal filed by the Appellant’s against the Respondents on four sub issues by the Judicial Committee of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, the Judicial Committee ruled that ;
The 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa is eligible to ascend to the Begoro stool because he is of a royal blood and a true royal of the Begoro Asona Royal Family. The 9th Respondent is a descendant of Antwi Kwasi who occupied the stool for 27 years”.
The finding of fact made by the trial Judicial Committee Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council on the issue of nomination is amply supported by the evidence on record and bourne out of the record and same will not be disturbed. We emphasis again that there was a valid nomination done by the queen mother and all three valid attempt failed”.
The finding of fact made by the trial of Judicial Committee of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council on the issue of composition of the kingmakers is amply supported by the evidence on record and same will not be disturbed. We find that there are seven kingmakers of the Royal Asona Family of Begoro and these are Osaberima Oware Pinkro II, Osaberima Bosompem Ayiripe III, Osaberima Otu Darko , Baffour Oworade Agyarko, Baffour Appiah, Baffour Amakwa , Baffour Oteng Effah”.
The findings of fact made by the trial Judicial Committee Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council on the issue of the process used in the selection of the 9th Respondent, we have reason to interfere in the said finding of fact made by the committee below and will therefore adjudged that the process used in the selection of the 9th Respondent is uncustomary and same is declared a nullity. The Kingmakers should proceed to use the known customs and traditions of the people of Begoro to select a candidate to ascend to the stool as the three attempt by the queen mother has failed”.
The Ruling further stated that “the Judgement of the Judicial Committee of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council (JCAATC) dated Thursday 25th November , 2021 in respect of the chieftaincy action initiated by the Petitioners or Appellants against the Respondent (s) is hereby set aside and replaced by the findings above. The appeal succeed in this respect only , that the selection of the 9th Respondent is declared null and void. It behoove now on the kingmakers who haven previously interviewed and interacted with all the eligible candidates to make a selection in accordance with customs and practice”.
Baffour Minta II said, the Kingmakers followed suit in respect to the section of the ruling which nullified the use of CV in the selection process and yet majority of the kingmakers confirmed the 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa as a valid candidate to ascend the stool.
He explained that “the judgement which came suggested that we the [kingmakers] have perfectly executed our mandate but CV is not a valid criteria to elect a chief, so we the Kingmakers together with the Appellant were subsequently invited by Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin and ordered us to follow the court ruling, to our surprise the Appellant (Abusuapanin) rejected three of the kingmakers; thus Apreman, Osinohene and Serakohene but the other four which are Ankobeahene, Twafohene, Kyidomhene and Rempihene should be allowed to vote “
“So Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin granted the Appellant (the Abusuapanin) request and the four kingmakers were allowed to vote , after the voting three of the kingmakers voted for the 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa and one voted for the other candidate so Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin endorsed the 9th Respondent that a fix date will be given for him to be installed as the Chief of Begoro” he said.
The Ankobeahene reiterated further that as a kingmaker for the Royal Asona Family , he will fully support any candidate who is dully elected and is eligible to ascend to the stool.
He also advised section of the traditional area who made unpalatable comments about the Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori to refrain from such act and accord the needed respect to the Okyenhene and the Akyem Abuakwa Judicial Committee.
Meanwhile, the Reagent Queen Mother of the Royal Asona Family of Begoro , Nana Adwoa Kessewa narrated that the 9th Respondent Amfo Amoa is eligible to ascend to the Begoro stool because he is a true royal of the Antwi Kwasi gate one of the four ruling houses of the Royal Asona Family of Begoro who ruled from 1874 to 1901 until his demise when he was buried as a chief.

The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Kofi Okyere Agyekum has admonish Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to quickly throw in the towel for Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to become the flagbearer of the New Patriot Party to lead them into the 2024 general elections.
He noted that doing so will give the NPP the nod to break the 8 year jinx they are looking for.
According to him almost all the 136 NPP MPs are in support of Dr. Bawumia and they adamant he wins the party’s primaries of the presidential race.
He revealed that, out of the 44 Ashanti Regional NPP MPs only 3 out of them do not support Bawumia and if you come to the Eastern Region too out of the 25 NPP MPs only 1 MP is not in Bawumia’s camp, something he said signifies his claims.

The ‘Awo Abrewatia’ gave the assurance on Wednesday, March 1 , 2023, when she officially outdoor by the Ankyease Royal Family of Amonkrom, the Gyaase Division in the Akuapem Traditional Council of Eastern Region.
She is mandated to become the among all women in her family and also to give advise to the Queen Mother on who should occupy the stool whenever a stool become vacant in the royal family.

According to her, Awo Abrewatia Nana Ama Dokua is very hardworking person and she is glad she has been finally outdoor by her family to join Gyaase Division, and they believe she will deliver and bring massive development to the area.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women’s Wing of Akuapem North Constituency in collaboration with the NPP Women’s Wing in United Kingdom (UK) has organized free health screening for the residents of Tinkong community in Akuapem North.
The exercise was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Tinkong community centre.
Speaking withr Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, the Akuapem North Women Organiser, Linda Darkwa who spearheaded the program said, the healthcare of Ghanaians has been a topmost priority of the NPP government, hence their move.
