Job Creation Central To Kennedy Agyapong’s Vision For Ghanaians…Wife Hints

The wife of the Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong, has revealed that his husband’s top priority is to establish industries that will create jobs for Ghanaians, particularly the youth, in a bid to reduce the country’s unemployment rate.

Christiana Agyapong explained that whenever his husband travels and sees a vast stretch of unused land, he immediately begins to envision what could be cultivated there and considers setting up a factory within the area to generate employment.

This, she said, enables people to earn income to support their families and reflects the actions of a good leader committed to lifting citizens out of poverty and hardship.

Mrs. Agyapong added that the establishment of a factory in any community opens up business opportunities for locals, allowing them to sell items such as sachet water, food, fruits, and other products to company staff, ultimately boosting the local economy.

She further noted that if her husband is allowed to become President of Ghana, he will establish more companies to tackle the unemployment crisis facing the nation.

“The lack of job opportunities in the country is forcing young people to travel abroad in search of greener pastures. Those who cannot afford to travel are often seen in major cities of Ghana, sleeping in front of people’s stores and kiosks at night after struggling to earn their daily bread,” she opined.

Mrs. Agyapong made these remarks at Kyebi Bronikrom in the Abuakwa South Constituency during an engagement with the women’s wings of the NPP delegates. She used the occasion to urge them to vote for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong in the upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026, in which 20,000 delegates are expected to participate.

She emphasized that the January 31 election will determine the future of Ghanaian children and, therefore, appealed to delegates, especially women, to consider the well-being of their children and elect Kennedy Agyapong as the party’s next flagbearer, expressing confidence that he will win the presidential seat for the NPP in 2028.

“If Kennedy Ohene Agyapong becomes the next President of Ghana in 2028, he would set up many factories to augment the ones he has already established to employ the unemployed young people and sweep them off the streets. Again, if Ghana has enough factories, the youth wouldn’t have been traveling overseas to seek greener pastures,” she added.

For her part, Yaa Ansaa Safori, Eastern Regional Women’s Coordinator for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, stated that Kennedy is often labeled a ‘hooligan’ because he stood up for the neglected grassroots members of the party, ensuring they also benefit from their dedication and sacrifices that helped the party win both the 2016 and 2020 elections.

She underscored the vital role grassroots members play in helping political parties win power, noting that their development and welfare remain a priority for Kennedy Agyapong, who will not disappoint them if elected President.

Yaa Ansaa Safori stressed that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s consistent placement at the top of the ballot paper in two consecutive primaries is a sign that “God has given him to them,” and urged delegates to honor him in the forthcoming primaries to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.

NPP Flagbearership Race: My Endorsement Of Bryan Acheampong Should Be Respected…Okere MP

The Member of Parliament for the Okere Constituency in the Eastern Region, Daniel Nana Addo Kenneth, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to respect his decision to throw his weight behind Bryan Acheampong.

According to him, his endorsement of Mr. Acheampong’s candidature follows thorough consultations.

He noted that he consulted with party executives, including his godfather and former MP for the area, Daniel Kwaku Botwe, before endorsing Bryan Acheampong among the other four candidates vying for the slot.

Mr. Kenneth added that deep down, he believes Bryan Acheampong is the only candidate among the five aspirants who can secure victory for the NPP in 2028.

He went on to clarify that Dan Kwaku Botwe has not declared his support for any of the presidential candidates. Instead, he is waiting for the outcome of the elections and will rally behind the winner to reclaim the presidential seat from the National Democratic Congress.

He explained that Daniel Botwe is now a senior figure in the party and is always cautious with his choices. He noted that the indiscipline among the members is affecting the party’s activities and needs a leader who can address these issues and unite them after the election.

Mr. Kenneth stated that his godfather’s decision to abstain from the internal election demonstrates his readiness to work with whichever candidate emerges victorious on January 31, 2026.

“Daniel Botwe doesn’t have a problem with me after explaining why I chose Bryan Acheampong over the other candidates because we are all championing for the party to come to power in 2028,” he noted.

He emphasized that Bryan Acheampong prioritizes the development of the party, which is why he continues to preach unity among its members.

“If Bryan Acheampong becomes the next President of the country, he will create more jobs to curb the disturbing unemployment rate menace confronting the youth,” he mentioned.

Mr. Kenneth then appealed to NPP delegates heading to the polls on January 31, 2025, to vote for Bryan Acheampong to lead the party into the 2028 elections.

The Okere MP made these remarks at Awukugua on Thursday, October 16, when Bryan Acheampong met the NPP delegates in the constituency and urged them to give him the nod to become the flagbearer and lead the party into the 2028 general elections.

The Osino Development Forum Ghana has donated 7,000 exercise books to government basic schools in the Fanteakwa South District in the Eastern Region.

Last year, in 2024, they donated 5,000 books, and this year, they increased the donation to 7,000. Additionally, Kindergarten students received special supplies, including 10 A4 sheets, erasers, sharpeners, pencils, and pens to encourage regular school attendance.

In a cross-section interview with journalists, the Public Relations Officer of the Osino Development Forum Ghana, Maestro Oduro Amaning,  emphasized the association’s commitment to addressing infrastructure needs and resolving minor challenges within the community.

He stated that education is the key to future prosperity, which motivates their support for the schoolchildren in Fanteakwa South District.

During school visits, Mr. Amaning stated that they observed many students were unable to participate in classroom activities due to a lack of exercise books.

As a result, the association decided to provide these essential materials to help students pursue their education and aspire to greater achievements.

The Education Director for the Fanteakwa South District Assembly, Richard Akosah Addo, mentioned that they have worked with the Fanteakwa South District Security Council (DISEC), traditional rulers, and parents to implement a curfew prohibiting schoolchildren from going out after 7 PM. He noted that this initiative has positively impacted students’ academic performance.

2028 Elections: Elect Bryan Acheampong To Lead NPP…Boakye Yiadom To Delegates

Yaw Boakye Yiadom, former NPP Chairman- Abuakwa South.

The former Chairman of the Abuakwa South Constituency for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region, Yaw Boakye Yiadom, has admonished the party’s delegates to elect Bryan Acheampong as the flagbearer to lead them into the 2028 general elections.

The New Patriotic Party has scheduled January 31, 2026, to elect its new leader, where about 20,000 delegates are expected to participate in this important party exercise.

According to him, Bryan Acheampong is the only candidate who can snatch the presidential seat from their main contender, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), come 2028.

Mr. Yiadom dismissed the call to give another opportunity to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to become the flagbearer for the party in 2028, stating that he is already known by many Ghanaians.

He explained that some things could be marketed for many years yet not be purchased, but when a new product enters the market, people rush to patronize it.

He added that President John Dramani Mahama will not contest the 2028 election, and the NDC will present a new candidate who is not known by Ghanaians.

He believes that if the NPP delegates also favor Bryan Acheampong as a new candidate, he would secure victory for the NPP in the 2028 election.

Nobody Can Abrogate The 2025 Akuapem Odwira Festival…Akuapem Palace

The Akuapem Traditional Council in the Eastern Region has reaffirmed its readiness to celebrate the 2025 Odwira Festival.

This year’s festival is slated for Friday, October 24, under the theme: “Preserving Our Heritage, Securing Our Future.

However, concerns have been raised about the upcoming events due to the standoff between the council and Nana Afia Obuo Nketiah, the Akuapehemaa, over the legitimacy of the Akuapehene’s position.

The Akuapehemaa, in a press conference in Accra last week, stated that she does not recognize Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III as Akuapehene and thus barred him from holding the festival.

Meanwhile, the Akuapem Palace challenged that no man born of a woman can withhold the Odwira Festival and further issued a stern warning to those who intended to do so to advise themselves to avoid facing the palace’s wrath.

The Akuapem Traditional Council states this in a counter-press conference held on Friday, October 10, where it refuted such allegations and stated categorically that Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III was legally installed as Akuapehene, indicating nothing binds him from celebrating the 2025 Odwira Festival.

The press conference was addressed by the Spokesperson of the Akuapem Kingmakers, Odehye Adu Mfum. He used the medium and emphasized that nobody can nullify this year’s Odwira Festival, which marks 199 years since its inception in 1826.

Odehye Adu Mfum called on the indigenes of Akuapemman, both at home and abroad, to grace the forthcoming 2025 Odwira Festival events to make it successful.

He assured the general public of stringent security measures to ensure that no individual is harmed during the occasion.

The Yagbonwura, Bii-Kunuto Jawu Soale I, is the special guest of honor of the year’s Odwira Festival to mark its 199-year celebration.

Okyeman Gyaasehene; Not Alien Of Kwabeng… Concerned Youth

Daasebre Anyimadu Kantamantu II, Overlord – Kwabeng.

A group calling itself the Concerned Youth of Kwabeng in the Eastern Region has dismissed the perception that the Okyeman Gyaasehene, Daasebre Anyimadu Kantamantu II, is an alien.

According to the group, Daasebre Anyimadu Kantamantu II is well-acquainted with the people of Kwabengman, making such assertions baseless.

The Concerned Youth’s statement follows a challenge to the legitimacy of Daasebre Anyimadu Kantamantu II at a press conference held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, by the Concerned Citizens of Kwabeng.

However, the Concerned Youth have disregarded these concerns and emphasized that the traditional ruler was rightfully and legally installed as Kwabenghene and has ruled for the past seven years.

Convener of the Concerned Youth, Nana Osei Tutu Kwabeng, in his justification, explained that former Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice William Atuguba, had ruled the installation of Daasebre Anyimadu Kantamantu as Kwabenghene as ‘legal’.

“If Daasebre Anyimadu Kantamantu II was an alien, Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin wouldn’t have added him to the delegation he dispatched to Kumasi to represent him at the Asantehene’s mother’s funeral,” he emphatically added in a counter-press conference.

He further underscored the peace and harmony among residents in the community, stressing that engaging in chieftaincy disputes is not a habit of the youth.

Nana Osei Tutu used the opportunity to invite residents of Kwabeng, both home and abroad, to embrace the forthcoming maiden community durbar slated for Friday, October 17, to help solicit funds for Kwabeng’s development.

“Kwabenghene’s first-ever royal durbar will be peaceful, and we are poised to support him in developing the community,” Osei Tutu assured in his call.

Teachers Can’t Teach On Empty Stomach; Pay Them…Gov’t Told

Patrick Boison, GNAT Chairman-E/R.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, Ghana joined the global community in celebrating the diligent teachers who have shaped and impacted many lives, under the theme: “Elevating the Status of Teachers for Quality Education.”

Speaking to journalists, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Patrick Boison, called on the government to pay the salaries of teachers recruited last year (2024) who have been working for nearly thirteen months.

He described this situation as very pathetic, emphasizing that teachers cannot effectively educate young learners on an empty stomach and thus insisted they deserve better working conditions.

Mr. Boison urged President John Dramani Mahama to expedite the payment for the affected teachers, enabling them to teach with enthusiasm and happiness, ultimately helping to nurture the country’s future leaders.

“President John Mahama, during his 2024 campaign tour, promised that if he wins the elections and becomes President in 2025, he would give allowance to teachers teaching in the deprived areas, and we are pleading with him to fulfill that promise in case he has forgotten,” he reminds President Mahama.

The Chairman further highlighted the challenges faced by teachers in hard-to-reach communities, who often lack access to basic amenities such as electricity, good roads, clean drinking water, and educational infrastructure.

Despite these hardships, he said they have not given up. He suggested that the deprived area allowance would motivate them to remain in these communities and continue their essential work of shaping young lives.

Mr. Boison rejected the popular mantra that “the reward of a teacher is in heaven,” asserting that a deceased person cannot benefit from such rewards.

He argued that if the government, led by President Mahama, has anything for teachers, it should be given while they are alive and actively contributing to the nation’s growth and development.

He used the opportunity and expressed his profound gratitude to all Ghanaian teachers, both public and private, for the vital role they play in shaping the futures of schoolchildren across the country.
