The United Clergy Int’l Association has held its 11th edition of Achievers Leadership Awards in the Eastern Regional Capital – Koforidua; to hardworking MPs, MCE and DCEs in the region.

In an interview with the press, Executive Chairman for the Association, Bishop Dr. Kwame Aburam Anoff Sr. said, “Ghanaians have attitude of rewarding the dead but we have realize such an award is needles”
“If you want to reward someone do it when the person is alive to motivate him or her to do more” he adds.

Bishop Dr. Anoff Sr. continues as they had received these Community Impact Personality Award for Excellence In Leadership, “we expect them to go and do extra work to have positive impact on their people”
‘We look at the area of Education, Health , Sanitation and the relationship they have with their people before we nominated them”

“We have monitoring team who goes to the grounds to have interactions with the community to hunt for the best nominees” he said.
“When they return to give us report that the nominee don’t deserve the award we don’t serve the person a letter to come for the award” he emphasized.
The following personalities were presented with the scheme for the occasion Hon. Osei Frimpong, MP – Abirem Constituency, Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, MP – Asante Akim North Constituency and Dept Min for Railways Development, Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo, MP – Abuakwa North Constituency and Dept Min for Education, Hon. Nana Ama Asiamah Adjei , MP- Akuapem North Constituency and Dept Min for Information, Hon Eric Osei Owusu, MP – Afram Plains South, Hon. Daniel Kenneth , DCE – Okere District, Hon. Samuel Kwame Agyekum, DCE – Asuogyman District and Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh , MCE – Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

After the awards Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH had an interview with some of the awardees and they all claimed excited for the award received because they never knew anything about it.
