Workers of the Waste Management Company, Zoomlion Ghana, in the Agona West Municipality of the Central Region have successfully gone through validation and payment of their eight (8) months salary arrears.

Addressing the Workers; MP and Parliamentary Candidate for the Agona West Constituency who double as the Gender Minister Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison retereited, Government commitment towards regular payment to beneficiaries and also charged them to prioritize the cleanliness of the Municipality towards the achievement of the Secondary City Status in Ghana.

She indicated that, the welfare of the Ghanaian Workers is the NPP Gov’t priority. They deserve their salaries because they have work for the development of our dear nation.

Hon. Gender Minister assured the Zoom Lion Workers of Agona West her support whenever the need arises. She encouraged them to continue doing the good job to make Agona West Municipal Assembly one of the best cleanest Assemblies in Ghana.

Covid – 19 Fight: Don’t Rush To The Polling Centres To Write Your Names…..Ghanaians Urged.

MP for Abuakwa North and Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for NPP in the Eastern Region who double as the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo has urged eligible Ghanaian voters to exercise patience during this new voters’ registration exercise to avoid the breaching of the social distancing protocol.

Hon. Gifty Ampofo added, if the electoral commission officials haven’t reach your area where you voted, don’t rush to go to the different constituency to cause congestion over there. No matter what ,it will get to your area for you to have your name registered.

‘This is the best practice we can do to curb the spread of coronavirus ,’ she noted.

Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo said, the Abuakwa North Constituency first phase of the registration was very successful, despite some few challenges.

She mention these when she went rounds to observe the registration exercise as the first phase has come to an end. Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo commended both the police officers and EC officials for great work done.

Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo therefore appeal to her constituents that, if they are going to register their names they should put on their face mask, wash their hands thoroughly under running water and also observing the social distancing protocol.

Covid – 19 Fight: MP Support The Local Council Of Churches With 50 Infrared Thermometer Guns.

MP for Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region and also the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo has donated fifty (50) thermometer guns to help the Local Council of Churches to beef up the covid – 19 safety protocols as the President eases restrictions amid the pandemic in her constituency.

She mentioned that, her decision was informed by the fact that, churches were not operational for almost three months that makes it difficult for most of the churches in the constituency to procure the infrared thermometers which are comparatively expensive to screen their members to help curb the COVID 19 spread as the president Nana Akufo-Addo directed when he eased the restrictions.

Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo added, I know it won’t reach all the churches in the Abuakwa North Municipality , but they should manage this ones for us and in appropriate time we will come and add more to it.

Receiving the items, the Chairman for Abuakwa North Assembly Local Council of Churches, Rev Isaac Ofori thanked the Hon. MP for the wonderful gesture and continuous support to churches and promised to put the thermometers to the best use. He further blessed her in all her endeavours.

E/R: Farmer Murdered In His Farm At Akorley

A 58-year-old father of five children, Kudjo Dakudzi was on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 attacked and killed by unknown assailants at about 9am on his okro farm at Akorley Foah, a suburb of Akorley in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region over suspected land litigation.

Two eyewitnesses including the deceased’s 13-year-old son with whom he visited the farm and one Mawuli, aged 18 told police that they were working in the farm with the deceased when one Nartey who is litigating with the deceased on a piece of land, together with two others, attacked Kudjo Dakudzi.

Police personnel from the Somanya Police Command proceeded to the scene and conveyed the body to the Atua Government Hospital emergency ward where he was pronounced dead on arrival after which the body was deposited at the hospital’s morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Assemblyman for the Akorley Electoral Area, Solomon Kwame Todoko observed that Kudjo Dakudzi’s murder is the first of its kind in the area.

The incident, he added, has left the entire community in a state of fear particularly farmers who would visit their farms alone as they could not guarantee their safety.

Meanwhile, Police says investigations have commenced into the case.

The New Juaben South Constituency first Vice Chairman for NPP in the Eastern Region , Mr. Benjamin Oduro Asante popularly known as Benash have dared the Former Prez and Flagbearer for NDC John Dramani Mahama to go to court if he loose the upcoming 2020 general elections to challenge the result there.

He indicates that, nobody can fault him if he disagree with the election result. In 2012 general elections we also went to the Supreme Court to challenge the result when we disagreed with the EC and we spent 6 in months Court and this is what we call it “democracy”.

Supreme Court then declared NDC victorious over us and for the love of the country and Ghanaian citizens at large, Nana Addo accepted the defeat without uttering a word.

Mr. Oduro Asante adds, former Prez JDM have already admitted that, he has loose the competition in advance whiles the elections isn’t commenced yet. But he has started attacking the centre referees (EC) and is very worrying.

‘If Prez Mahama don’t want his party members to partake in the new voters’ registration exercise its advantage for us. Because we are going to do house to house campaign for our members to understand and know the need of participating in the upcoming new voters’ registration exercise,’ he emphasized.

He mention these to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH in an interview.

He further stressed, Ghanaians shouldn’t let their heart to be troubled, we will continue to enjoy our peace and nothing bad will happen to this country.

Mr. Benjamin Oduro Asante added, Prez Akufo-Addo has promised and said, he don’t like hooliganism and he will seek to it that peace continue to take its course in the country. Anybody who will try to bring chaos will be dealth with by our security agencies.

‘All those who are threatening that after the 2020 general elections there would be hooliganism in the country, I must say they are just bragging because they can’t do anything,’ he opined.

We Will Uproot You Like Cassava In This 2020 General Elections.

Residents in Ankaful in the Cape Coast North Constituency of the Central stated emphatically that,they will uproot Hon. Barbara Asher Ayisi the Mp for Cape Coast North for her inability to do any developmental project in the area.

According to them,since She became their MP,she haven’t stepped her foot in the area to even thank them for voting for her.

They revealed to Anaafi Kokooto that,filth have swallowed them since they have only one toilet facility which is far from some of them tendering some of them to defecate in the bushes and their refuse dump site.

Meanwhile some of them bemoaned to Anaafi Kokooto that,their main problem is a toilet facility, relocation of their refuse dump site which is in the middle of the town as well as a gutter to reduce flooding situations in the area.

“Whenever we go to the refuse dump to dump our refuse, we always see “manhood” of different length and sizes since visitors and we the residents don’t have any place to go to toilet”,one of the women disclosed”.

They therefore appealed to Hon. Barbara Ayisi to as a matter of urgency to come to their aid or loose this upcoming 2020 general elections.

C/R: Pastor Summoned For Bunking Mother For 19 Years

A 57 years old Pastor of the African Faith Tabernacle Church at Gomoa Ojobi in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region , Pastor Peter Inkoom has been summoned to the Odikro and his elders by his own brother after he is said to have been dating their mother for 19 good years.

Joseph Quarshie, a Junior brother to the Pastor(Sofo Peter Inkoom) reported the case to the Chief and Elders of the Ojobi Community after realizing that all efforts to get their mother recovered from her ailment has proven futile.

The Pastor, when interrogated at the palace after appearing before the Nananom accepted that ,he has had an affair with their mother and that he must be forgiven.

Odikro of the Gomoa Ojobi Community, Nana Atta Kakrah IX also revealed that the Pastor has been asked to pay Three(3) Sheeps, Three(3) Schnapps and GH¢300.00 as a fined to be used to perform any necessary rite at palace and for the entire Community.

Koforidua- Asokore: Bees Beat MP, MCE, Chiefs And Injured Four People.

MP for New Juaben North Constituency in the Eastern Region Hon. Kwesi Nana Adjei Boateng met the Asokore chiefs at the Asokore community centre on the upgrading of their centre to the two storey building state.

According to the information, the MP who double as the Deputy Local Government Minister Hon. Adjei Boateng, New Juaben North MCE Hon. Comfort Asante together with the Chiefs of Asokore were all seated for the programme to be commenced. Bees from nowhere rushed to where the programme is ongoing beat and injured four people who fell down at the spot when they were running away.

Some of the eyewitness spoke with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH and explained exactly what happened at the Asokore community centre. The programme didn’t come off and later zoom lion came and fumigate the place.

Do Not Dump Garbage Into The Gutters- Ghanaians Charged.

Works and Housing Minister Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea.

The Minister of Works and Housing and MP for Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea urged Ghanaians to desist from the habitat of dumping of refuse into the gutters to prevent flooding in the area.

He stated that, since the era of Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah all drainage systems were opened and many people have taken advantage of it by dumping their refuse in them, and is very worrying.
He said the practice had choked several open drains leading to avoidable flooding and its consequent disasters in the country.

He mentioned that in 2018, the government made a budgetary allocation of GH¢ 200 million for the ministry to use to work on our drainage systems and also desilt the choked ones which yielded a positive flooding combat the year after.

The Minister urged residents to practice continuous desilting of gutters or drainage system.

The MCE for New Juaben North Hon. Comfort Asante thanked the works and Housing Minister for his visit to the assembly. She assured him that she will ensure that people don’t dumped their refuse into the gutters in her municipality anyhow.

Again the MCE for New Juaben South Municipal Assembly Hon. Isaac Apaw Gyasi said, he is very excited that the Hon. Minister of Works and Housing has come to his Municipality to witness the challenges they go through when there is heavy downpour.

He stressed, Koforidua is under the mountains and whenever it rains heavily, they have a major challenges. There is a gutter at the Prince Boateng roundabout and since 1925 there haven’t been any renovation and that gutter also flood a lot.

If today under the able leadership of Prez Akufo-Addo we are going to see renovation, we say may God bless him. Hon. Apaw Gyasi used the occasion to send a word of caution to residents of New Juaben to stop dumping their refuse into the gutters. If we catch you doing that the Assembly’s by- law will dealth with you.

Hon. Isaac Apaw Gyasi begged of the New Juaben Traditional Leaders to stay off they get any recalcitrant who will flout the Assembly’s by-law.

Palm Kernel Oil Workers Call On The Government For Financial Support.

Ada Magazine is a suburb in Koforidua in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region and most of the work the women residing in that area does is palm kernel oil work.

This women are facing a lot of challenges at their work place. Kingdom news can confirm that, they don’t have portable water for their work. They fetch water from some small river in the area to wash the palm nuts.

This according to the women is making their work difficult.

Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when speaking in an interview with one Fati Atiabila who spoke on behave of her colleagues said, when it rains heavily the flood take over the place and where to stand to do their work become a major problem and moreover they need a portable water for their work. The New Juaben South Assembly and Gov’t should come to our aid and support us.

‘When the coronavirus disease pandemic hit the country there is low patronage in the palm kernel oil, we don’t have money to take of our families and is very worrying to us,’ added Fati Atiabila.

‘Ghana Gov’t is doing well by bringing back the lives of the defunct factories in Ghana in terms of supporting them financially. We are also calling on the Gov’t to come and support us, by given us some small amount of money to run our work’, she emphasized.

I asked them whether they need a factory but they said, this work is for the individuals and the only help they need is the portable water, financial support from the gov’t and also to upgrade their working place for them. Otherwise their work will any time soon collapsed.
