Ada Magazine is a suburb in Koforidua in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region and most of the work the women residing in that area does is palm kernel oil work.
This women are facing a lot of challenges at their work place. Kingdom news can confirm that, they don’t have portable water for their work. They fetch water from some small river in the area to wash the palm nuts.
This according to the women is making their work difficult.
Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when speaking in an interview with one Fati Atiabila who spoke on behave of her colleagues said, when it rains heavily the flood take over the place and where to stand to do their work become a major problem and moreover they need a portable water for their work. The New Juaben South Assembly and Gov’t should come to our aid and support us.
‘When the coronavirus disease pandemic hit the country there is low patronage in the palm kernel oil, we don’t have money to take of our families and is very worrying to us,’ added Fati Atiabila.
‘Ghana Gov’t is doing well by bringing back the lives of the defunct factories in Ghana in terms of supporting them financially. We are also calling on the Gov’t to come and support us, by given us some small amount of money to run our work’, she emphasized.

I asked them whether they need a factory but they said, this work is for the individuals and the only help they need is the portable water, financial support from the gov’t and also to upgrade their working place for them. Otherwise their work will any time soon collapsed.
