The Anyinasinhene of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council in the Eastern Region, Osabarima Atta Appeakorang Agyei II, has bemoaned the growing indiscipline among some youth in his community.
According to him, some young people in Anyinasin have risen against him and his cabinet, and are consistently attacking their personalities and insulting them for reasons unknown to him.
Osabarima Atta Agyei II argued that someone is behind the actions of these young people, who are targeting the Chiefs, elders, and opinion leaders of the Akyem Anyinasin Palace. However, he noted that, they would soon be brought to justice
“Kofi Richard, Broda, Kofi Asante, and Yaw Eric, among others, have been heard in several tapes raining an insult on us each and every day,” he mentioned.
The Anyinasinhene made this known during the 3rd Akwasidae observation at the Akyem Anyinasin Palace on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
He pleaded with the youth who attended the event in their numbers not to retaliate against the aforementioned people, while continuing to enjoy the peace of the area.
“Have you seen a youth having a successful life after insulting an elderly person before? Osabarima Atta Appeakorang Agyei II asked.
He then advised that if you’re a youth and you want to be successful in life respect the elderly person and God will bless you abundantly.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to championing infrastructure projects in Anyinasin to better the lives of the people in the community.
Osabarima Atta Agyei II noted that he is accountable to his people; therefore, he charged his cabinet, particularly those responsible for lands, to ensure they discharge their duty diligently to help develop the area together and make Anyinasin one of the fastest growing communities in Akyem Abuakwa.
He also used the occasion to thank the residents of Anyinasin for coming out in their numbers and rallying behind him to give his late Mother, Madam Cecilia Ampaabeng Afia Siaa Peasah a befitting burial on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Anyinasin.
