The People Living With Disability (PWDs) in Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region have registered their profound gratitude to Nana Addo led government for supporting them.

“This is the first time I am benefiting from the government as a person with disability”. I really needed money to complete a project but upon consultations with the Social Welfare Department of the Assembly, it emerged that, the government does not issue out money to beneficiaries now, rather builds the capacity of beneficiaries to be self dependants, we arrived at a deep freezer for trading for me to trade with by selling water and other cold drinks. I am deeply overwhelmed seeing what the assembly has instock for me at the moment. I thank the President, the Municipal Chief Executive and the Social Welfare Department for remembering we,’ the needy in the society, I call for another term for Nana Akufo-Addo to do more.” Mr. Gyimabi Wiseborne, a 63 year old retired educationist and resident of Akyem Kukurantumi, submitted.

Miss Josephine Nkansah, 53 years, an unemployed mother of two(2) and resident of Akyem Old-Tafo, could not hide her joy but sang praises to the municipal assembly and government by providing her with a deep freezer and sachet water to start a trade to make her self dependant.

Miss Josephine Nkansah stated that, the government’s intention of not giving beneficiaries physical cash instead, procures all that are required to build their capacities as demanded by the beneficiaries is a welcoming one.

“What makes the difference is that, the physical money we were being given by the previous administration were not used for the purpose of which the money were meant for by us, we buy clothes, food and and even spend on our kids with it. This makes us hard up within some few days after receiving our benefits a situation the current administration has solved. Today, I have been given deep freezer and sachet water to trade with by government. I really appreciate the initiative and thank the municipal assembly and the government as a whole.” she added.

Mrs. Mercy Amoasah,the Municipal Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, said, this is the third phase of building the capacity of people living with disabilities in the municipality since the inception of the assembly in 2018.

Mrs Amoasah stated that, twenty-five beneficiaries recieved their items based on their requests. Items distributed included deep freezers with automatic voltage regulators and bags of sachet water, Corn milling maching, food stuffs, laptop etc.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly Hon. Owusu Twum-Ampofo in his submission, advised all the beneficiaries to make good use of what they have recieved for socio-economic development of the country as the government is committed to not living anyone behind.

He further advised them(PWDs) to be cautious of people who may in one way or the other draw closer to them to milk them off their profits as they(PWD’s) capacity has been built by government to make them self dependants.

MCE for Suhum Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Hon. Margaret Darkwa Darko has handled over the 10km Suhum asphalt to Justmon Constructions Company Ltd for the work to take off.

Addressing the press, Hon. Mrs. Darko said, “not long ago, the Minister for Roads and Transport Hon. Kwasi Amoako Atta cut sod for the completion of Suhum flyover and assured them of the 10Km asphalt”

“We did a lot of followup on the project and today it has come to pass” she adds.

Hon. Margaret Darko continue that, Prez Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his promise for given Suhum 10km of asphalt. The Contractor will start work anytime soon on the road for the people to see that Suhumman have also gotten asphalt.

The NPP Parliament Candidate for Suhum Constituency, Mr. Kojo Asante Boafoɔ in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH highly commended Prez Nana Addo for fulfilling every single promise he promised Ghanaians.

‘When handling over the country to him by former Prez John Mahama, he said there is no money in our coffers and the country don’t have credibility. Because of that Prez Akufo-Addo can’t fulfilled his numerous promises he has made to Ghanaians” Mr. Boafoɔ said.

‘Former Prez Mahama said, Prez Nana Addo can’t do the Free Senior High School education, he can’t restore the Teacher and Nursing training allowance etc but he has done it” he praised.

Hon. Kojo Asante Oboafoɔ added, Prez Akufo-Addo declared this year 2020 as a year of roads and he is doing it. “So let’s give him another mandate to continue his good works”

Furthermore the Suhum Nifahene, Nana Odei Amoako show his profound gratitude to Prez Akufo-Addo for given Suhum 10km of asphalt.

‘As the work have been entrusted under your care, we don’t want any shoddy work on our roads and we are going to monitor your work very well to ensure that a genuine work have been done” he advice the contractor.

Nana Amoako therefore task the Justmon Contractor to employ more youth from Suhum Municipality to assist him to do the work to create employment among the youth and the good people in the municipality.

Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem North Constituency in the Eastern Region and Deputy Minister for Information, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei has disclosed that, they want more votes for the NPP to show their appreciation to the gov’t for the good works they have done for the good people of Akuapemman within the 3yrs and some months in office.

“It will surprise people if we say we will mention the works we have done in Akuapem North Constituency one by one. This make me notice that our communication c’ttee have a big task ahead of them to deliver”

“A lot of works have taken place in Akuapem North Constituency, but our constituents haven’t heard it. Some too don’t know how we got all those projects” she said.

“Therefore I will urge all the communicators to beef up their communication skills to ensure the constituents got to know some of the things we have done in the constituency to re-elect Nana Ama Dokua and Prez Akufo-Addo to continue their good works” she advice.

Hon. Ama Dokua revealed these to Kingdom News during the party’s Inauguration of the Constituency Campaign C’ttee for the 2020 elections. She is the Chairperson for the C’ttee.

She continue that , every electoral area in her constituency have gotten at least one projects. Some are roads, schools, borehole, electrification, health facility, toilet facility etc.

The Hon assembly member for Kuntunse electoral area, Hon. Selina Avevor has made a humble appeal to Ghanaians both far and near to help her brings her community to a great lime which will help Warsaw most of the challenges in the community.

“We are currently facing challenges in out street lights but the more serious one that am to throw light into is the flooding issues” she said.

In view of that, she has set up a seven member committee to hold fast to the construction of drainage at Kpobiman Light house through to Jormoman in Satellite Junction in the Ga West Municipal to help the flooding issues.

“It is always hard to see school going children trying to cross to their various homes when it rains, and as assembly member I am to do something fast to help save situation before it gets worsen” she add.

This brought a wake up call on her to call for a meeting to deliberate on the needed support to help combat such situation. She plead to have a committee to probe into it. The committee and the project was inaugurated yesterday, Thursday 26th August, 2020 at Kuntunse Light House Chapel under the Ga West Assembly championed by Hon Selina Avevor and the NCCA an European NGO projections to communities; will see the first phase being complete before elections.

“We can’t wait for them to come and start, heavens help those who help themselves yet we are starting as soon as possible even as we are talking a man from the community has donated 3 concrete covert which we can start with” she then send the appeals to the community and the general public to help them either in cash or kind “the public school in my constituency which is serving more than ten (10) communities is not in good shape we have raise concerns but to no avail” after this project the community has pray to turn to the work fold of the school “we have send proposals to Asangod, KK Peprah among all the top companies in the community but haven’t heard from them but we can’t wait to say the president should do it all, we will start as community before it gets off hand”

The Deputy Minister for Information, Mr. Pius Enam Hadzide said, former Prez John Mahama has made us to know he don’t understand what’s called ‘ governance’ and governing a country, is not a gambling.

According to him, former President and flagbearer of the opposition NDC party, Mr. John Mahama always contradict himself and he is not consistent. “Mr. Mahama indicated that the free SHS is not good. Now if someone has come to do it he says it has come to stay”

Not long ago, Prez Dramani Mahama said “if he wins the 2020 general elections, he will legalise the Okada business”

Meanwhile he signed the Traffic Regulation Act law in 2012 which doesn’t allow the okada riders to use their motorcycles as a commercial means of transport in the country.

Hon. Enam Hadzide added, the same person promised the assembly members in his 2012 manifesto that he will pay them. “He couldn’t even pay them Gh₵1.00 to boost their morale under his tenure in office as the Prez of the Republic”

“Today he says he is coming to pay them and legalized the okada business. Former Prez John Mahama has lost credibility before his own party people and the good people of Ghana. I must say “governance is not a gambling” he stated.

The Eastern Regional Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Kwame Appiah Kodua has disclosed that, skirt and blouse voting in the general elections should be put to cure in his reign.

Minister of Health , Hon. Kweku Agyemang Many has cut sod for the € 71m euros, Okere District hospital to be commenced anytime soon.
In his speech, he stated that the project contains 40 bed capacity.

He added that “the Hospital is expected to be completed within 30 months”

Hon. Health Minister explained that, Vamed Construction Company Ltd is in charge of the project. He said, they have added 12 projects for the Contractor and its cost is over € 71 million euros.

“This projects is under the 88 Municipal and District Hospitals promised by Prez Akufo-Addo of which Eastern Region will benefit 8 Hospitals out of the 88”

Hon. Agyemang Manu indicated “the following towns are also going to benefit from the aforementioned amount of the money from the hospital; Jumapo, Kwaben, Akwatia, and Akyease all in the Eastern Region. Suame, Jubronso, Sabronum, Manso Nkwanta, Twedieɛ all in the Ashanti Region. Mmiem in the Ahafo Region and Kpong Akatamanso in the Greater Accra Region. We are working tirelessly to transform Ghana. If not the Ghana’s Constitution we shouldn’t have voted this year because Prez Nana Addo is working”

The Chief of Adukurom in Akuapem Nifa Traditional Council, Ahunuabobrim Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V, on behalf of cabinet commended the NPP led governance and Prez Akufo-Addo and his able hard working staff for the Okere District Hospital received.

“Okereman have every right to be exited because if this project is completed, its going to save many lives and also create employment for many residents of Okere”

The MP for Okere, Constituency who double as the Minister for Regional Re-Organization and Development, Hon Dan Kweku Botwe said, “the NPP gov’t has been good to Okere. Many MP’s are lobbying for projects for their constituents. We the people of Okere have seen a lot of infrastructure projects. We are very much grateful to Prez Nana Addo”

Hon. Dan Botwe stressed, “the whole business of politic is to lay down good policies and fulfill our promises and help our country to be developed. That is the politics but not the debate in politics”.
