Works on the over 40 years Mangoase dilapidated roads network will begin within the next six (6) weeks.

Thousands of residents in Mangoase are farmers in the community in the Akuapem North Constituency of the Eastern Region.

They embarked on massive demonstration against their MP, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei and the government over the dilapidated state of their roads for so many decades.

The New MCE for the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly, Hon. Berimah Awuah Sarpong Asiedu-Larbi upon hearing the demonstration assures the residents that their challenges have been heard and will be solved soon.

He explained that, they have given the contract to Boday Construction and their on the work will soon commence.

“Previously we said, the construction should commence within the next 6 weeks but looking at the situation at hand, the contractor said he will start work on the road probably today.

Hon. MCE spoke in an interview with Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH during the demonstration, and pleaded with them to exercise restraint.

Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH later had an interview with the newly elected Presiding Member for the Assembly and former independent Parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North Constituency, Hon. Nana Asiedu-Ofei stated, the Mangoase residents have a genuine case to demonstrate, because all the 6 roads that links to their town is in a deplorable state. However they have to exercise patience because gov’t can’t do all things at the same time.

He continued that, they have to get a spokesperson to speak for them, may be the gov’t don’t know their challenges. “I will do everything possible for the Mangoase roads to be fixed within the next 6 weeks ultimatum given by our Hon. MCE”

Offinso South Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti region has inaugurated a 33 member campaign team to lead their 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The ceremony which took place at the party office brought together sympathizers, party delegates and supporters of the ruling party.

The Constituency Campaign Team comprises all constituency executives, Parliamentary Candidate, MCE, Council of Elders and some executives.

The launching of the constituency campaign team is in line with the campaign structure of the party, which has been described as an all-inclusive one, embracing both old and new crop of the party functionaries.

Chairman of the NPP in Offinso South, Mr Amoafo Atuobi Boakye Yiadom touched on the ‘unprecedented’ achievements of President Nana Akufo-Addo and urged the campaign to build on that to deliver victory for the party.

Mr Amoafo Atuobi Boakye Yiadom told Offinso based Time FM that, the team will assist the party to win massive votes for the NPP in the impending general elections.

Offinso South NPP parliamentary candidate, Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku addressing the party at the inaugural ceremony on Monday, 24, he said the campaign team would be responsible for all the campaign activities of the Party in the Offinso South constituency.

Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku said as a result, the team must commit themselves to work hard for the party to win massive votes in the Offinso South constituency so as to win election 2020.

He has also called on them to ascribe to peaceful campaign in their daily endeavours so as to attain their goals towards the polls.

Thousands of Hundreds of residents in Mangoase a farming community in the Akuapem North Municipality, demonstrate against the MP,Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Agyei and government over dilapidated state of their Roads.

According to the demonstrators, all roads linking the Mangoase community is in a very sorry state and successive governments has over the years turned deaf ears to their plight.

The Founder of Mangoase Youth Association and the leader of the demonstrators , Hajia Rabiatu Yakubu, has said, so many moves to get the roads fixed has proving futile and for over 40 years they’ve traveled on bad Roads .

She claimed none of the Six leading Roads to Mangoase are all in a bad state.she said

The acting General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh, a.k.a Kabila, has lost the bid to become the substantive General Secretary of the party.
He was beaten by former Public Utility Regulatory Commission Public Affairs Director, Nana Yaa Akyimpim Jantuah, who polled 1,389 votes as against 752 votes for. There was referendum as to vote both presidential flag bearership or not and out of the 2034 vote cast, 1852 voted YES.

The Chief of Larteh in the Benkum Division of Akuapem Traditional Council in the Eastern Region, Osabarima Asiedu Okoo and his cabinets have applauded the former MCE for Akuapem North Municipal Assembly ,Hon. Dennis Miracle Aboagye for his good works over the 3years period in office.

The Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Wassa Amenfi East in Western Region has called on the supporters and sympathiser of the NDC to ignore any evil attempt that divides attention and blackmails the NDC Parliamentary candidate in the constituency.

The National Democratic Congress in a press conference on Thursday August 20, 2020 at the party office, has reaffirmed the settling on Hon. Nicholas Amankwah as a parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NDC come 2020 general elections.

A week ago, over 50 Polling Station and a group calling itself Concerned NDC Youth in Wassa Amenfi East held a press conference calling on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NDC to reconsider the decision of allowing the former District Chief Executive Hon. Nicholas Amankwah to go unopposed.

According to the leader of the Youth group Mr Kofi Atokyi, the declaration of the former DCE hon Nicholas Amankwa to go unopposed affirmed NDC defeat to the NPP in the constituency come 2020 elections.

The NDC youth in their statement describes the current Western regional party chairman Nana Toku and the former Wassa Amenfi East NDC MP hon AKwasi Oppong Fosu as “Anti-Mahama” whose their actions predicts the NDC 2020 flag bearer’s defeat.

Mr Nana Kofi Atokyi preferred candidate, Mr. Rex Asamoah Twum was disqualified by the Party’s Western regional executives from taking part in the race by series of allegations charged against him.

Meanwhile, the current constituency NDC secretary, Mr. Ignatius Boahene responding to the youth leader in a press conference on Thursday, describes Mr Kofi Atokyi, as the real “Anti-Mahama and Evil plotter” against the NDC party.

“Per our checks, Mr. Atokyi is not a real party man, he crossed the carpet from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the year 2008.”

He continued that, “thereafter, he (Mr Atokyi) had the opportunity to contest as a Vice chairman of the NDC party which he is now fighting against some key top party leaders” he stated.

Addressing the media, the Secretary accused the former constituency NDC Vice Chairman for doing the job of his paymasters from the NPP party by campaigning to suppress the NDC fortunes in the constituency and NDC 2020 presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama’s victory.

He alleges that Chairman Nana Kofi Atokyi on several occasion attend meetings with the NPP and a well-known ‘galamsey’ Kingpin who is currently in a neck-deep galamsey activities with some top NPP gurus in Amenfi East constituency.

Mr. Ignatius Boahene clearly stated that Mr. Nana Kofi Atokyi is not and has not been a financier and a diehard supporter of the Party (NDC) since 2013.

He therefore called on the public to ignore any agenda of destruction by Mr. Nana Kofi Atokyi and remain focus to rescue Amenfi East from the mess caused by the Nana Addo and the NPP government.

The New MCE for Akuapem North Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Regional have been urged to call anybody who can help developed the Assembly including the immediate past MCE Hon. Miracles Dennis Aboagye and the MP Hon. Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei whenever their services is needed.
The former Constituency Secretary and now the MCE for the Assembly Hon. Berimah Asiedu-Larbi was confirmed by the Hon. Assembly Members of the Municipality overwhelmingly. Out of the 46 total vote cast (I.e. yes or no), 45 of them voted yes and one of them voted no.

Addressing the Assembly Members of the house, the Eastern Regional Minister and MP for Nkawkaw Constituency, Hon. Eric Kwakye Darfour expressed his profound gratitude to the Assembly Members for accepting President Akufo-Addo’s nominee without wasting much time and confirmed him ( Mr. Berimah Asiedu-Larbi) as their new MCE for Assembly.

In his speech, the Regional Minister admonished the new MCE, Mr. Asiedu-Larbi to know that the immediate past MCE for the Assembly, Hon. Dennis Aboagye is still with them.

“The former MCE has a lot of information, avenues and opportunities. Make use of what he has accumulated over the 3year period and I believe if you do so, we can get that flow that will allow the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly to be developed,’ he advice.

Hon. Berimah Asiedu-Larbi adds, he has a big task ahead to deliver because the delyance to elect our Presiding Member has dragged many developmental projects backwards. “Now that we have elected Hon. Nana Asiedu-Larbi as Presiding Member (PM) we are going to set up the various committees as soon as possible to run the affairs of the municipality and start the developmental projects” he assured.

The Abuakwa North Municipal Director of Ghana Education Service in the Eastern Region, Mrs. Abena Gyamerah, has admonished administrators the owners of all Senior High Schools in the municipality especially, Only Believe Senior High School in Akyem Kukurantumi, to desist from meddling academic works with party politicking on compus.

She made this statement when she visited Only Believe Senior High School, with the member of parliament of Abuakwa North cum deputy minister of education incharge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Honourable Gifty Twum-Ampofo and a section of the Abuakwa North New Patriotic Party executives led Mr Kudjo Dauglas Asare.

The delegation visited the institution to ascertain an allegation made by the parliamentary candidate of the biggest opposition party, National Democratic Congress(NDC) of Abuakwa North Constituency, who doubles as the owner of Only Believe SHS, Mr Charles Darko Yeboah Aka Ozey, on Nopras Fm Monday morning, 10th August 2020, that, a section of the NPP executives are conspiring with Ghana Education Service to close his school down by deliberately deploying over fifty (50) external invigilators to supervise the ongoing 2020 WASSCE, a situation that has caused anguish among the student body and the community as a whole.

“So I’m begging you, let this school be a school and do your politics but please and please again don’t bring in education because I get worried, today this person will be calling me, Abena this, Abena that, no! I don’t want to meddle in politics, I don’t want any of my schools to get into politics, we have a whole MP who is also the deputy minister of education, so why do we do this to ourselves because of power? Don’t tarnish somebody’s reputation. If you don’t take care and they cancel the children’s papers because you said BNI was here, this was there, that is WAEC’s own decision, it is not the MP that brought the invigilators here and it is not me because we’ve given that contract to WAEC to do it for us, so please and please again take politics out of our education” Mrs Abena Gyamerah cautioned.

Responding to the allegations, the headmaster of Only Believe SHS, Mr George Darko, disassociated the school from the alleged comments and said the school runs on purely Ghana Education Service’s standards devoided of party politics. He therefore assured the delegation that, the situation will be amicably resolved by bringing the politicians who are associating the school to politics to order.

“We disassociate Only Believe as a school from all these happenings, yes, from all that my colleagues are saying, you can hear that the thing is not coming directly from our school but people outside the school, to be more emphatic, Political individuals, therefore, I will firstly, disassociate the school from this allegation. We will also look at the next step to take to avert this issue.” Mr George Darko.

Master Enoch Asumah a form one student of Kpando Technical Institute where he has been offered a course of Moto Vehicle Engineering (MVE) asked Ghanians to come to his aid to push his hand craft gifted talent. “I have made power bank, Rocket Launcher, Shockers among other things of my own” he claimed.

“I started this when I was aged six and was then in class two”

The funny thing is that, the former Angels Academy pupil made those tools he said out of waste materials and not that he repairs them.

“This is my third air craft that am yet to launch” he said. Speaking on how the lockdown has made studies slow for most of the students in Ghana, he said it has never kill his dream as an engineer but has rather made him focus on what he has to do in life ” I use to go out and get my materials for my projects whenever the needs comes so the lockdown of schools has never affected me in any way, though is hard to get some of the materials from the waste that I collect and have to use money but the money is now my challenge” due to this he asked all Ghanaians both near and far to come on his aide to build more product “I am done with the aircraft as well as the controller” and is looking forward to launch it.

“Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Sarfo is my dream model and I prayed to be better than him one day” he said.

The government of Ghana is trying hard to creat job for the youth and in Enoch case he has two apprentice who are under training of building such devices one of whom is in class 5 whiles the other is in JHS 1 all in Sarpeiman in the GA West Municipality.

” I need support from the Government and all who can come to my aid to produce more devices and also trained more children of my age” he said.

He therefore thanked Kings TV Greater Accra correspondent, Kwabena Gyamfi for such opportunity given to him to let his works out to Ghanaians ” many are my age mates who can also do more of what am doing but their works are kept indoors, how will it been seen” he asked.

“My mother was my sort of motivation, I lost my mum few weeks into SHS, but life must continue” he add.
