According to the Odikro, this decayed market has given him a sleepless night for the past 25yrs and over. I and other chiefs have had several dialogue with all the previous administration of the Assembly but none of them came into our rescue.

Nana Amo Gyimah adds, they are happy that , Hon Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo and his administration has taken it upon their shoulders within 3yrs to rehabilitated and commissioned the Akuadjoo market for us.

He spoke with kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH in an interview. This market will purposely use for selling of the second clothing ( phoose) and other unconsumable goods. The market has 100 shades.

The MCE for Kwahu West Municipal Assembly Hon. Lawyer Owusu Addo said, he is very happy for commissioning this project and is one of the beautiful markets in the municipality. Over 25yrs now when the market was built nobody has gone there to sell because of their superstition believes.

There is so many allegations that, if you sell over there people don’t buy their items, and adding they says gods and juju has taken over the place and it looks like as if they have cursed the market. But I can see it as economic matter.

Hon. Owusu Addo stressed, the same market people who sells in the main market has gone for the Akuadjoo market for the past 20yrs without using it and leaving the market to be rotten. The welfare of the market men and women are our priority.

I’m going to give out the Akuadjoo market for free for those who are willing to go there to sell. All those who have papers of that market for the past 20yrs has expired and I have cancelled them. We are paving ways for the new people to take over the market.

President Nana Addo Is Proud Of You….Suhum MCE.

Nursing oil palm seedlings

Over 500 farmers in the Suhum Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region has benefited from the 50,000 nursing oil palm seedlings from the Assembly. This project is under the Planting for Food and Job programme which was initiated by Prez Akufo-Addo to help reduce the poverty rate from the lives of the farmers.

“Prez Nana Addo in his own wisdom have realize that, if we add oil palm plantation to our cocoa plantation we are having, it will bring income to the country. So we also decided to help him to achieve these vision”.

Hon. MCE for Suhum Municipal Assembly Margaret Darkwa Darko said, Prez Akufo-Addo is proud of the Ghanaian farmers for their massive contribution to the country’s development by working tirelessly to ensure there is adequate food in the country. Farmers are very important persons to H. E. Prez Akufo-Addo, and adding, He is doing everything possible to support them in their work. That’s why H.E. Prez Nana Addo has introduced so many policies to benefit the Ghanaian farmers.

She continue that, the farmers has done massively great job to the extent that, now Ghana have produce enough locally rice and very soon we will start exporting some to the European Countries.

Hon. Margaret Darko further urge Ghanaians to embrace the good policies from the NPP gov’t to change the country’s destiny rather than the opposing all those policies because of our political affiliation and is very disturbing.

Hon. MCE made these known to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when distributing the 50,000 nursing oil palm seedlings to its farmers in the Municipality. This programme took place at Suhum – Okorase.

Furthermore, the 2018 oil palm best farmer and rtd educationist in the Assembly, Mr. Godfred Amoah commended the good works this gov’t is doing for the farmers to raise up their standard of living.

“There is a proverb that ‘ it’s good to teach the person how to fish rather than the to fish for the person everyday. He ceased the opportunity to urge all the 500 farmers beneficiaries to take good care of the nursing oil palm seedlings because there money in the oil palm plantation”.

Mr. Amoah finally advice the individuals who have a perception that there is no money in farming to do away with it, because currently there is money in the soil if you work hard especially when it comes to oil palm plantation. There is so many profit you can get it from the oil palm plantation, Malaysia is a leading country that export palm oil to many countries across the globe and their making huge amount of money. Ghana can also do the same.
