Heed To Your Teachers And Parents Advice…MCE To Students

The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Madam Comfort Asante has urged the fresh students to heed to the advice of their teachers and parents in order to become great leaders in the future.

According to her, for a student to become successful in life being obedient to their teachers and parents is key.

Madam Comfort Asante commended the effort of the Ghanaian teachers especially those from her Municipality and encourage them to continue their good works for the country.

She gave the advice during the ‘My First Day at School’ program where she visited schools in her Municipality.

She then advise the school children to be punctual to school and entreated them to take their academics work serious.

At Suhyen Mpeam M/A KG, the MCE gave uniforms to 20 kids who were not on school uniform. She also presented soft drinks, biscuits, crayons, erasers, books and sharpeners to the school children in all the schools she visited.

On her part, the Education Director for New Juaben North Municipality, madam Beverly Bethels thanked the teachers for their hard work offering the country.

She urge the teachers in the various Schools to do things that will make the kids happy to attend school always.

They were accompanied by the New Juaben North Municipal Coordinating Director, Ndinga Nborinyi, and his Deputy Director, Victoria Ghartey together with the Information Offer for the Assembly, Asiedu Benjamin.

8th Parl’t: Most Difficult One…Suhum MP Reveals

Ɔboafo Kojo Asante,MP- Suhum Constituency.

The Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region, Oboafo Kojo Asante has hinted that, the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana is the most difficult one in the country’s history.

According to him, Parliament is about numbers, saying that, the hanging parliament is making their work very difficult, especially the NPP’s MPs to the extent that they can’t leave Parliament to go to their various constituencies to visit their constituents regularly unlike those days.

Oboafo Asante explain that, they have to attend parliament proceedings all the time even if they are sick due to their equal numbers [137-137] with one independent MP on their side.

“If they leave Parliament for their constituencies, their opponent [NDC] will use their numbers to disapprove a lot of the government policies or bills that has been laid before the house for approval or passage and they don’t want such things to happen” he noted.

The MP told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when rendering an account to his constituents about the works he has done over the past two years from January 7, 2021 to January 7, 2023 as a first timer MP.

Oboafo Kojo Asante then urge Ghanaians across all the 275 constituencies to exercise restraint for their MPs because this regime of the 8th parliament is very though for them.

Despite all the challenges confronting them, he assured the good people of Suhum to have faith in him, because they are going to see more developmental projects in the next two years ahead of them and asked them to maintain him come 2024 elections.

Later on, some of the constituents who attended the MP’s two years stewardship account to the people program commended him for his good works done as first timer MP and said he deserve another term to do more.

They told KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that, the MP projected every single project he has done in the Constituency with videos and pictorial evidence which is visible for everyone to see it and this is what we call it proper accountability.

Dollar Depreciation To Cedis Is Not A Magic…. NPP’s 2nd Vice Chair

Nana Kofi Fredua Birikorang, Abuakwa South 2nd Vice Chairman- NPP.

The 2nd Vice Chairman for Abuakwa South Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriot Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region, Nana Kofi Fredua Birikorang has stated that, the dollar depreciation to cedis didn’t occur by magic.

According to him, it is rather a good measures put in place by the NPP gov’t.

To him, it is an indication president Akufo Addo and his Vice president Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia worked very hard to ensure the economy bounce back stronger and that is exactly what Ghanaians are witnessing.

Nana Fredua Birikorang said, if he’s asked to choose between the cedi and the dollar, he will choose the cedi over dollar because very soon the cedi is potentially of matching the dollar.

Speaking to told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, he then urge Ghanaians to have faith in the NPP gov’t because things are going to get better going forward in 2023.

He furthered by indicating that it is no more news to hear some NDC members taking the credit away from President Akufo Addo and Dr. Bawumia for making the cedis stabilize against the dollar.

He noted that President Akufo Addo is focused and no amount of propaganda by NDC members would shift his attention from the good works he and his team are doing for mother Ghana.

Nana Kofi Fredua Birikorang used the opportunity and wished the people of Abuakwa South happy new year.

Kyebi School For The Deaf To Receive Security Boost….Akyempimhene

Berimah Kwame Antwi Bosiako, Akyempimhene- Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.

The Akyempimhene of Akyem Abuakwa Tradition Council of the Eastern Region, Berimah Kwame Antwi Bosiako has noted that for security reason, a fence wall would be build for the Kyebi School for the Deaf to ensure the children are safe and well protected.

To him, since the school is not fenced ,the children have resorted going out without the notice of their school authorities.

However, Berimah Antwi Bosiako is of the believe that providing a fence wall would end the unauthorized loitering of the school children, and, to enhance teaching and learning.

He also indicated that, a teachers bungalow would build to provide accommodation for the staff.

He made this known to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when during the ‘BRA FIE’ programme held at Kyebi on Monday, January 2, 2023 . The purpose of the program is to call on the indigenous of Kyebi who has traveled outside the town to come home in every month of December to help raise funds amidst developing the area.

Berimah Kwame Antwi Bosiako emphasized that, the move forms part of their social cooperate responsibilities of supporting successive government in nation building.

Against this background, he use the opportunity and urge the general public to emulate their steps.

Stressing on the ‘BRA FIE’ program, he commended the Okyehene, Ɔsagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin for coming up with such initiative to the people of Kyebi and its environs.

I Will Serve Okyere Baafi Till My Final Breath….Journalist Hints

A seasoned journalist Emmanuel Martey popularly known in the media fraternity as Nsempawura has stated that, he will continue to serve Michael Okyere Kofi Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency in the Eastern Region till his final breath.

According to the renowned journalist, he is neither seeking for favour nor expecting any gift from the MP before he comes out to praise him for his good works.

Nsempawura, the Ghana Nsempa morning show host on Koforidua based Afeema 103.3 FM continue to say, he will be loyal to Michael Okyere Baafi at all times because he is visionary leader who think about the welfare of his constituents more than himself.

“In December 2022, the MP who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry organized free Shop and Go program for the aged in his constituency. He also paid GHS15,000.00 hospital bill for the discharged children at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua whose parents doesn’t have money to pay it”, he noted.

Nsempawura argued that he is yet to see any MP like the latter who involve other political parties in everything he does.

An act he said signifies ‘unifier’ and makes him man of peace.

The World Won’t Go Back Again But 2023….Apostle S. Dadzie

Apostle Dr. Samuel Kofi Dadzie, Founding President and General Overseer- LLIC.

The Founding President and General Overseer of Leaders Light International Church, Apostle Dr. Samuel Kofi Dadzie has said, the world will not go back again but 2023 would be a fruitful year for Ghanaians.

According to him, he is hopeful and believe that things will change in 2023 and the economy would bounce back stronger.

“Because many people thought that in December 2022 the hardship in the country will worsened but fortunately for Ghana even in that difficulty month, fuel prices reduced and it let led to the reduction of lorry fares. This show 2023 would be year of blessings and prosperity”.

Apostle Kofi Dadzie told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH during the 31st December, 2022 watch night service held at Osabene in Koforidua.

He advice the youth to desist from hard drugs and stop drinking alcoholic beverages because it is destroying their future.

He added that, the youth shouldn’t use the unemployment rate in the country as yardstick to destroy their body because there is hope for them in the future.

Apostle Samuel Dadzie then urged the government to take a bold decision in 2023 to fight against hard drugs and alcoholic beverages as he did to the galamseyers to ensure the lives of this young people are being saved because they are the future leaders of the country.

Some church members expressed their appreciation to God for his protecting them throughout the year 2022.

Abuakwa North MCE Praises Akufo-Addo For Disabilities Fund

The Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Alhaji Umar Babs Kofi Bodinga has commended President Akufo-Addo for the implementation of the Persons With Disabilities fund to change their standard of living.

According to the MCE, the President’s introduction of the persons with disability fund Nana Addo was to ensure he fulfills his promises made when seeking for the presidency in 2016.

Alhaji Umar Bodinga told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH when presenting an items to the Persons With Disabilities on Saturday, December 31,2022 at the Assembly.

The move is to empower them to set up their own businesses to earn a living.

The MCE again revealed that, giving them items to start up their own businesses is far better than giving them small amount of money quarterly every year as done in the past.

Alhaji Babs Bodinga then entreated them to put the items received in good use to become profitable for themselves.

Furthermore, the Social Welfare Director for Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly, Mercy Amosah said, the rationale behind the presentation of the items to the PWD’s is to stop them from begging at the roadside.

Osabarima Kwame Tawiah Marks Her 10yrs Royal Anniversary

Osaberima Kwame Asah Tawiah I, Twafohene of Larteh Kubease and Kyidomhene of Adweso.

The Twafohene of Larteh Kubease who doubles as the Kyidomhene of Adweso in the Akuapem Traditional Council of the Eastern Region, Osabarima Kwame Asah Tawiah I has celebrated her 10 years Royal enstoolment anniversary in a very colorful ceremony.

As part of her 10yrs anniversary and also to empower the youth, she presented equipments to 88 NAMASA Royal Foundation apprentice who have gone through all the necessary training for 3yrs and has successfully graduated.

The beneficiaries include; 2 masons, 29 beauticians, 28 seamstress, 6 auto mechanics, 3 Aluminium fabricators, 4 pastries, 6 beads making, 6 nails and make-up, and 4 interior decorators.

Osabarima Asah Tawiah I also presented 6yards of cloth to over 50 aged women in the community to appreciate their advice and guidance they have been given her for the past 10yrs.

In her speech, she noted that 10yrs journey on the stool hasn’t been easy but God has sustained her.

She thanked the people and Nanaanom of Larteh Kubease for their massive support over the past 10yrs and asked them to continue praying for her to live long and do more developmental projects in the area.

She then advice the graduands to make good use of the equipment received to become very profitable for them.

To create job opportunities in the area, Osabarima Kwame Tawiah I admonished the graduands to also train more youth for free to help them get their own handiwork to reduce the unemployment situation in Larteh Kubease and its environs.

The Twafohene of Larteh and Kyidomhene of Adweso believe that, if the youth have job doing it keep them busy all days and prevent them from any form of hooliganism.

The 10yrs anniversary celebration was held at Plaza in Larteh Kubease on Saturday, December 31,2022 .

Some of the beneficial graduands told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that they are grateful to the Chief for what she has done for them and asked for God’s blessings unto life.

Nurses In New Juaben South To Be Awarded….Okyere Baafi Fumes

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency Michael Okyere Kofi Baafi is set to reward the hardworking nurses and midwives in his constituency.

According to Micheal Okyere Baafi, his Nurses Appreciation Awards scheme is set to motivate health workers to continue with their tireless and selfless dedication in providing of quality healthcare delivery in the constituency despite the daunting challenges confronting them.

The Award event is slated for the second week of January, 2023 and will have Nurses competitively selected throughout the constituency for it.

After the appreciation awards, the Regional Health Directorate will elect or select one outstanding hardworking nurse among themselves to be adjudged overall best nurse of the year. This is the first of its kind such program is coming off in the Region.

The MP who doubles as Deputy Minister for and Industry made this announcement on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Eastern Regional Hospital- Koforidua when feted children on admission.

Michael Baafi also paid GHS15,000.00 hospital bills for the children who have been discharged but due to financial difficulties by their parents they have stuck there.

Dr. Akoto Ampaw, the Medical Director for Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua on behalf of the children and management thanked the MP for his kind gesture.

He told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari that, the MP has done well for remembering the children and the women on admission in this difficult time to dine and celebrate the christmas with them.

Dr. Akoto Ampaw reveals that partying with the children attract positive psychological effect on their health conditions through quick recovery.

He then called on other philanthropists and organizations to adopt or visit the hospital regularly with gestures, stressing that the patients had unattended needs.

Most Ghanian Languages Are Perishing…Rev. Opuni Frimpong

Rev. Dr. K. O. Frimpong, CEO- Christian Advocacy Africa

A former General Secretary for Christian Council of Ghana who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Christian Advocacy Africa, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni Frimpong has indicated that most Ghanian languages are perishing from the system due to attitude of tribalism.

He stressed the need for every tribe to feel proud of itself to enable one find space in the various societies.

Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong mention this during the celebration of 50th Golden Jubilee of Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Christ Congregation at Adweso Mile 50 on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

According to him every society must be included in every aspect of life, something that would pave way for the needed respect it accord.

Owing to this background, he said it is potential of promoting peace and unity in the country.

Adding to that, he emphasized if ‘we want Ghana to develop then we must go back for our old traditions and customs and cherish what we have as a country.’

He highlighted on the rich tradition Ghana has had over the years but was worried it is not value especially most churches in the country doesn’t recognize tradition.
