I Will Canvass More Votes In Zongo Communities For You….HAJIA Salamatu Promises Mahama

A former Deputy Eastern Regional Women Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hajia Salamatu Abu has expressed her determination to canvass more votes in the Zongo communities for the Flagbearer of the party, Mr John Dramani Mahama to win the upcoming December general elections.

Hajia Salamatu Abu

She has also predicted a one touch victory of 90 percent for the party at the presidential slot to regain power in 2021.

Hajia Abu was also hopeful that first time voters would vote massively for the Flagbearer, Mr John Mahama to continue his good works since the current government had failed woefully to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.

Hajia Salamatu Abu, who was interacting with the Daily Graphic at Koforidua Zongo after explaining to voters why they should cast their ballots for the NDC at the December polls, said the party was poised to regain power for the betterment of Ghanaians.

According to her, the interaction with the electorate in the Zongo communities had boosted her morale that the electorate were ready to vote for the NDC to form the next government.

She said her outfit with other NDC women in the Zongo communities were seriously working to change the voting pattern to the disadvantaged of the NPP in the Zongos in the region.

“Together with my colleague women, we are working to improve the NDC votes in the Zongo communities as compared to what happened in 2016 where
our votes dropped significantly due to the fact that some of our members did not come out and vote”, Hajia Abu indicated.

Hajia Abu was confident that the NDC had every chance to win the December elections because of the current happenings in the just ended voters registration exercise which led to violence in some registration centres across the country.

“The December poll is a day for the NDC to recapture power from the NPP and that all NDC women groups especially in the Zongo communities must rise up quickly to ensure that dream of winning the elections become a reality”, she stated.

” Because of COVID-19 pandemic, we have adopted a house to house campaign strategy to interact with the electorate at their homes explaining to them the policies and programmes of the party”, Hajia Abu emphasised.
