Suhum MP Files Nomination Form To Seek Re-Election

The Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region, Ɔboafo Kwadjo Asante on Saturday, December 23, 2023, submitted his nomination form to seek re-election in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections.

Ɔboafo Kwadjo Asante was elected into office as a Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency in 2020, and under his leadership and his leadership, the constituents have benefited from his many developmental projects.

One major project that was dear to the people was the Suhum Roman Park but thankfully, Ɔboafo Kwadjo Asante has redeveloped it into an ultramodern sports complex that would help discover the talents of the youth who have a passion for football and other sporting activities.

Addressing Journalists after filing his nomination form at the New Patriotic Party’s office in Suhum, the incumbent and Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for Suhum Constituency, Ɔboafo Asante noted that, he planted a seed and it has yielded good fruit in the 3 years when constituents in Suhum voted him to go present them in Parliament.

According to him, he has unfinished business with the people of Suhum and has to complete it before he can say goodbye to his constituents, and the ones he has not done that he can’t leave in the middle of the road, hence picking the form and contest again.

The indefatigable MP who has brought transformation to Suhum added that he has created many job opportunities for the youth in the area.

Kwadjo Asante is optimistic that the delegates in the Suhum Constituency who in their last internal primaries voted massively for him and defeated his opponent with a 15,000 vote margin will do the same for him on January 27, 2024.

The Member of Parliament hopeful for Suhum Constituency urged the delegates to vote for a tried and tested person in him to do more for them in 2025.

DLE: Ebenezer Opare Retains The Osabene Mile 50 Assembly Member Seat

The Assembly Member for Osabene Mile 50 Electoral Area in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region, Ebenezer Opare has maintained his seat for the third consecutive time in the just-ended District Level Election held on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

He won seven out of the eight polling centers that constitute the Osabene Mile 50 Electoral Area.

Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, the re-elected Assembly Member said his good works made him victorious.

Mr. Opare added that looking at how people have accepted him, he is eying to contest for the Member of Parliament in the Constituency in the near future.

He then shows gratitude to the electorate who reposed their confidence in him by voting massively for him to represent them at the assembly level.

He furthered by saying, he had forgiven all persons who spoke ill against him during the campaign time and promised to work with everybody to lobby for developmental projects for the residents of Osabene Mile 50 Electoral Area.

New Juaben South: NPP’s Council Of Elders Picks Nomination Form For Yaa Ansaa Safori

Some Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the New Juaben South Constituency of the Eastern Region have picked the nomination forms for Yaa Ansaa Safori to join the race to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.

According to them, they have seen the developmental projects of Yaa Safor for the residents of New Juaben South thus their action since the parliamentary seat of the area has become vacant.

They added that Yaa Ansaa Safori contributed and sacrificed herself for the party to win previously held elections in the constituency and therefore when giving her the opportunity to come and lead them she will deliver.

Opanyin Emmanuel Agyei speaking on behalf of his colleagues told Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH that, the good work of Yaa Safori had done for the NPP in New Juaben South would remain in the heart of the people.

“We believe if such an indefatigable person is given the nod to go to parliament she will bring more developmental projects to the people of New Juaben South and the Constituency will develop,” he added.

Receiving the nomination forms, the Parliamentary Candidate hopeful, Yaa Ansaa Safori thanked the Council of Elders for believing in her to ensure her dream of becoming the MP for the area in 2024 is achieved.

The businesswoman who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer for the Yaa Ansaa Safori Foundation underscores that her good work is walking the talk for her.

Pending the official submission of her form, she pleaded with the delegates to vote for her come January 27, 2024, to become the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency.

Ghana Gas Company Ltd Commissions Ultramodern Police Station At Amanokrom

Ghana Gas Company Limited has officially commissioned and handed over a one-story ultramodern Police Station to the people of Amanokrom to enhance security in the area.

The project was lobbied by the Assembly member for Amanokrom Electoral Area, Benjamin Boafo in the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region.

Speaking at the short ceremony held at Amanokrom on Friday, December 15, 2023, the Project Manager at Ghana Gas, Anyimah Nwiah Edomgbole said, that the Ghana Gas Company Limited has done more than 30 projects in the Eastern Region of which Akuapem North Municipality have benefited five out of these projects and all have been commissioned.

He stated that the welfare of the Security agencies in the country is paramount to them, hence, their support of building these ultramodern facilities for the community.

Furthermore, Benjamin Boafo the Assembly Member for Amanokrom Electoral Area who lobbied for the project noted that he is happy that the effort he made to get the police station for his people has come to reality because their security is his priority.

He also shows his appreciation to Amanokromhene Nana Osim Kwatia and his Obaahemaa Amanko Aba for their immense support and not forgetting Hackman Owusu Agyeman for releasing their land for free for such a beautiful edifice.

For his part, the Eastern Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Emmanuel Twumasi Ankrah commended Benjamin Boafo for spearheading such an important project that provides security to the entire Amanokrom Community.

DCOP Twumasi Ankrah then said that the Ghana Police Service needed a lot of help from the general public because the country is growing and they have to get Police Stations or Posts in various communities to be able to curb the crime rate in those areas.

On his part, the Mankradohene of Amanokrom, Nana Opare Boafo who represented the Amanokromhene Nana Osim Kwatia admonished the Akuapem North Divisional Command to put the facility received to good use and ensure they maintain it from time to time to prevent the building from deteriorating.

The Incoming MP For New Juaben South Constituency Supports Ada Magazine With Building Materials

The Member of Parliament hopeful for New Juaben South Constituency on in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer for Yaa Ansaa Safori Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization based in New Juaben South Municipality on Saturday, December 9, 2023, supported the Ada community a suburb in Koforidua with building materials to be used to refurbish their deteriorating water tank that supplies water to the residents in the area.

She and her team at the same time embarked on communal labor where they clean the area to help prevent them from contacting any unforeseen diseases.

Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, Yaa Ansaa Safori stated that her gesture follows a complaint lodged to her by the Assemblyman for Ada Magazine Electoral Area, Richard Okyere over the state of their water tank.

Some of the donated building materials with an amount of money worth ¢10,000.00 include 50 bags of cement, 50 pieces of roofing sheets, 50 boxes of nails, and 50 boxes of bottled water with some wood.

Yaa Ansaa Safori Foundation has over the past years offered support to many residents in the New Juaben South especially the aged and has registered about 900 children onto the National Health Insurance Scheme this year [2023].

She donates to the hospitals in the constituency from time to time over the years where both in and out patients benefit especially children.

According to her, she is a native and resident of Koforidua and was once a beneficiary of the same water tank thus saw the needful to support them because their health was paramount to her in that regard.

She underscores the significance of embarking on such a gesture noting that every good leader must prioritize the healthcare of its people first including basic their needs.

Touching on her philanthropical works, Madam Safori said it was through this some members of the area chiefs within the New Juaben traditional area yearned to lead them in Parliament come 2024.

“So if God permit and NPP open the nomination I would also go and pick up my forms and join the race to contest the New Juaben South Constituency’s Parliament seat because the constituents believe in me that am the only one who can bring developmental projects to their doorsteps and help them get job doing”, she officially declared her intention.

For his part, the Adahene, Nana Agyei Sarpong II commended the CEO of Yaa Ansaa Safori Foundation for her kind gesture.

He vows they would rally their support behind her to ensure she wins the New Juaben South NPP’s parliamentary primaries because once she goes to Parliament as their MP she will do bigger things for them.

Heritage Christian University College Holds 5th Congregation Ceremony

Graduating Class of 2023.

The Heritage Christian University College based in Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region Saturday, December 9, 2023, held its 5th graduation ceremony where 66 students graduated with the awards of Bachelor Degrees in the various accredited programs offered by the University.

In his address, the President of Heritage Christian University College, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah reminded the graduates that as they celebrate their academic achievement today, they should understand the profound responsibility that comes with the education they have received at the Heritage Christian University College.

He indicated that, all through their stay they were exposed to values that would make their lives and careers outstanding in any field.

Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah continued by saying the genuine measures and character of their success would be put to the test and believed that they would not disgrace the college.

He then said, that their career and life success is going to be determined not by their academic qualification as important as that is by the virtue of their conviction

“At all times keep developing conviction based on God’s words and will, saying, that will provide you an immovable foundation of sound character,” he advised.

The guest speaker of the program, Brant Bryan who doubles as the Managing Director of the Cresa Capital Markets in the USA also stated that life is by choice and there are many roads people use to get to their destinations, it could be muddy, rough, or hard roads.

Brant Bryan said, that when choosing a road, it would be better for everyone to first choose the hard road, stressing that struggling and testing is how we grow because it is in failing that we learn.

He mentioned that many world’s richest men we know today including Ellon Musk all failed woefully but they did not give up and are doing well in life, therefore he entreated the graduands that as they step out into the world they would encounter a lot of challenges but they should not be discouraged because with hard work, prayers and determination they would also make it.

Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, the overall best-graduating student and best accounting graduate, Stephen Benson mentioned that in 23yrs ago, after writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination, he scored an aggregate 33 and if today he was being adjudged the overall best student he will give thanks to God for how far he has brought him.

He then entreated his colleagues to focus on what was ahead of them but not the position they gained after graduation and go all out and make a difference, because, he had an aggregate 33 in B.E.C.E and did not let the result bring him down and has placed overall best graduating student in the Heritage Christian University College.

Don’t Take Your Staff Members For Granted… Alifa Adams To CEOs

The Chief Executive Officer for Central Migration Grace (CMG) Group of Companies, Alifa Adams has admonished owners of companies in the country to take good care of their workers.

According to him, the staff members play a pivotal role in every success story of any company associates, hence, Chief Executive Officers who own such companies should not take them for granted and maltreat.

Alifa Adams added, that no CEO can run its firm alone without the support of its staff members indicating that the growth and collapse of any company depends on how their workers are treated.

“That is why every CEO must prioritize the welfare of its workers first before any other things follow.”

He made this known during the 2023 edition of the Ghana Youth Awards held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Coconut Crove Regency Hotel, Accra.

He added “Position is not permanent, life changes today you could be the CEO and tomorrow your secretary you don’t respect could also come and occupy your space, hence we must collaboratively work together to transform and develop the Country.”

The CEO of Central Migration Grace group of companies seized the opportunity and congratulated all the hardworking Ghanaian youth who won the awards for their immense contributions towards the Country’s development.

Mr. Alifa, as such, also received the Icon of Change Award because he has impacted many lives in the Country.

Fanteakwa South MP Launches DMB Victory Xmas Community Gala

The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Kofi Okyere Agyekum has on Friday, December 8, 2023 launched Dr. Mahumudu Bawumia’s victory Christmas gala for the youth in his constituency.

The purpose behind the Christmas Football Gala competition, according to him is to sell the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party who doubles as the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia to the residents of the constituency to vote for him come the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH, Kofi Okyere Agyekum who spearheaded this program said, he wanted the youth who will participate in the games to be healthy and be able to develope their professional career in football, indicating that, there would be scouts around and to select the talented footballers for further advancement.

“Fanteakwa South NPP delegates are the first people to declare their support for Dr. Alhaji Mahumudu Bawumia and we gave him 70% votes in the Presidential Primaries and God willing he won flagbearership position,” he stated.

The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, Okyere Agyekum said that, he wants Dr. Bawumia’s name to be on the lips of his constituents throughout the Xmas till he wins the 2024 elections; hence the victory Christmas community gala.

The football gala would commence on December 21, 2023 and end on January 1, 2024 with a hooping prices for the eventual winner.

For his part, the District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa South District Assembly, Ernest Ofosu commended the MP for coming up with such games to market the Vice President, Dr. Mahumudu Bawumia to clinch the presidential seat in 2024.

Heritage Christian University College Launches ¢2M Scholarship Endowment Fund To Support The Needy But Brilliant Students

The Heritage Christian University College (HCUC) based in Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region has launched a Two Million Ghana Cedis (¢2,000,000.00) scholarship endorsement fund to provide support for the needy but brilliant students whose parents are not financially sound.

Speaking at the launching, the Controller and Accountant General, Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem mentioned that, the college is introducing a program that goes beyond traditional education, preparing students to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of knowledge and entrepreneurship while upholding ethical standards.

He stated that ethics is becoming an issue of late in our working environment as people can not establish bad deeds from good in their doings because, in everything they do, they think that is the way to go, indicating that if ‘we have institutions that intend to add value and advance ethics in our dealings such an institution should be commended.’

He was of the view that the launch of the endowment fund is a testament to the commitment of the Heritage Christian University College to inclusively have access to quality education, saying that, the initiative is not merely an act of generosity but rather it is a strategic move that aligns with the broader goal of fostering entrepreneurship.

The Controller and Accountant General then entreated other tertiary institutions to emulate the Heritage Christian University College to help other less privileged needy but brilliant students by offering them scholarships so that they can become prominent people in the future.

Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH speaking to Dr Victor Boadu, the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the college said it is disheartening to see SHS graduates on the street hustling to get an end means all because they did not get support to continue their education to the tertiary level.

He asked the public to support them by way of donating any amount of money to push the initiative to enable them to offer scholarships to more SHS graduates while moving them out of the street and helping change their lives.

Dr. Boadu adds, that many youths are into robbery activities because they cannot get assistance from anybody to continue their education, thus, the HCUC saw the need to come out with such an initiative to help offer assistance to such people in the various communities and give them hope.

Meanwhile, the President of the Heritage Christian University College, Dr. Samuel Twumasi Ankrah said, that noble vision of the College is to become the leading Christian University across Ghana and beyond, promoting excellence in knowledge and entrepreneurship.

He again highlighted the institution’s commitment to imparting not only the academic knowledge but also fostering an entrepreneurial spirit amongst the students.

Abuakwa South: Benjilo Foundation Supports 50 B. E .C. E Graduates

Beneficiary graduates blessings the CEO of the Benjilo Foundation, Benjamin Arkaah Otu for his kind gesture.

The Benjilo Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region has supported 50 graduates who sat for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination B.E.C.E and preparing to embark on their Senior High Schools journey with an item worth over One Hundred thousand Ghana Cedis (¢100,000.00)

The foundation seeks to provide support for the brilliant but needy in the municipality who had an aggregate of 6-15 to lessen the burden of their parents. This is the third edition of the program which in all have supported over 150 BECE graduates.

Some of the prospectors received by the beneficiary students are; trunks, student mattresses, toiletries, rubber buckets, mobs, and rubber brooms with addition of two hundred Ghana Cedis (¢200.00) cash to each person.

Speaking at the program held at Odumase on Sunday, December 3, 2023, the Chief Executive Officer for Benjilo Foundation, Benjamin Arkaah Otoo stated, one of his brilliant classmates called Osei had an aggregate six and had admission into Prempeh College but due to financial constraints as a result of of single parenting, he was thus compelled to go and learn auto electricals in Kumasi.

“But anytime I remember what happened to my colleague I become worried because should there be free SHS by then and being getting support like this B.E.C.E graduates by this time my colleague would be a medical doctor,” he opined.

The CEO who doubles as the President of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), added that this initiative by his foundation is poised to help the brilliant students in Abuakwa South whose parents can’t afford the Senior High School prospectors to be able to further up their education because they are the future leaders of the country.

Each graduate received Students mattress, trunk, toiletries, rubber buckets, mob, rubber broom and two hundred Ghana Cedis (¢200.00) as transportation fare.

In his remarks, the Odikro of Odumase, Nana Ntim Obuobi Atiemo thanked Benjamin Arkaah Otu for using his own money to support the education of these brilliant but needy students in the municipality.

He then advice the children to exhibit good attitude and learn hard and come out with flying colours and make Benjamin Otu proud.

Owusu Ansah Nyarko, an aggregate 6 student from Asiakwa receiving his items from Benjamin Arkaah Otu.

The Education Director for Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly, Madam Comfort Ofori-Appiah was impressive of the gesture by Mr. Otu, adding it would solve the many challenges of finances that occasion the education of these students.

She added that the 50 graduates who scored between aggregate 6 and 15 are privileged to the CLOSSAG boss because their parents can use the prospectors money to buy them text books.

Last but not the least, some parents and beneficiary graduates spoke to Kingdom FM’s KONTIHEN KOFI OBOH and show gratitude to Benjilo Foundation its humanitarian act.
